Chapter 262: Eight swords chain

He swung his sword upwards, a crimson dusk merging with a snowy winter night, and the crimson greatsword clashed with the silver two-handed greatsword in the air. Crimson and silver light splattered, and time seemed to freeze at the moment.

The labyrinth candle instantly burned out, the second relic destroyed by Xia De's hand tonight. At the same time, the deep night sky in the heavens completely receded, the monster roared to the sky, and the crimson dusk also gradually receded. Its body gradually shrank, but it was still not dead.

He staggered back two steps, propping himself up with the crimson greatsword, and the wisdom in his eyes surged forth again:

"Impossible, who exactly are you? The moon, oh, the moon! Such a pure Moonlight......"

the moment the two greatswords collided, although it was almost a mutual defeat, Xia De was actually more seriously injured. As the Mystic Lock and Sublimation Words ended simultaneously, if not for the two ladies behind him supporting him, he wouldn't even be able to stand steadily.

"Xia De."

Miss Bei Ya Si tightly grasped Xia De's arm. Among the three, she was the least injured at the moment:

"No, you are only a One-Ring, even if this Miracle is powerful it still... Oh no!"

Miss Bei Ya Si pointed at the Vampire who was raising his sword again in front, the young Sorceress wanted to block in front of her two companions, but Xia De was faster. He knew he had won this fight:

"I worked so hard to pursue this Miracle, not just because of its offensive nature."

The leaf in his mouth sustained his life. Xia De, holding the holy silver greatsword, charged towards the Vampire roaring in the blood mist:

"After I win, you two immediately leave here and find the Silver-Eyed One. No one should come near me."

He instructed, then, ignoring their reactions, he charged at the enemy with his sword.

Holding the sword with both hands, the silver greatsword and the crimson greatsword clashed again in the air. Xia De grunted, blood oozing from the corner of his mouth, then his figure abruptly vanished in front of the Vampire.

He appeared behind the Vampire, and as he struck the second blow, an unheld blade also thrust out from the void in front of the still-tall Vampire.

"Chaotic Time Blade!"

Two silver greatswords, one in front and one behind, simultaneously struck down. The Vampire, whose entire body was wrapped in vines, swung his sword to cut down the Moonlight Greatsword in front of him, taking the blow from behind with his back.

This sword cut a huge wound in his back. The injured madman angrily swung his sword, turning to strike backward, but Xia De's figure vanished a second time, reappearing to his left. Another sword was swung, and before the enemy could turn, he vanished again, reappearing to the right and swinging:

"Can't worry about so much!"

Each shift of his foot represented a sword strike and a spatial movement.

In just three seconds, he had already moved seven times. The clanging sounds meant that every one of his sword strikes had been blocked.

When the third second finally arrived, seven Moonlight Greatswords simultaneously struck from various angles in the void. And Xia De, standing behind the Vampire, also held his sword with both hands and thrust it towards the opponent's heart.

Eight greatswords surrounded it, and the silver moon illuminated it. Amidst the sharp sound of tearing space, the crimson greatsword split open the greatsword in front of it, but more blades, from different angles, finally pierced its body.

Moonlight Greatsword, Chaotic Time Blade, Raglai's Leap. With the cooperation of the silver moon, time, and space, Xia De gained the upper hand.

The crimson dusk above his head finally completely receded, and Sublimation Words ended.

And Xia De, almost exhausted, felt his head spinning, the leaf in his mouth supporting him from falling down.

On the Moonlight Greatsword barely held by Xia De, the monster impaled on the sword shrank even faster, reverting to the appearance of a man in ragged black formal wear. Wooden vines continuously emerged from the wound, trying to devour him.

His head rotated one hundred and eighty degrees backward, and a complete look of wisdom appeared in his vertical pupils, reflecting the young Detective's figure. But this was only his final moment of clarity; his lips moved a few times:

"What exactly are you? What is your relationship with the moon?"

"That's hard to answer."

With eyes gradually losing their luster, the Vampire stared at Xia De and spoke his last words:

"Blood Spirit School, will eventually... complete the final sublimation, doomsday... the blood of the ancestors... praise the blood, praise... the Moonlight."

He seemed to see a transparent ethereal figure of a silver-haired woman embracing Xia De's neck in his final moment. But it no longer mattered; his pupils solidified, and he died under Xia De's sword.

The Moonlight Greatsword in Xia De's hand disappeared, and the Vampire's corpse fell to the ground, immediately entangled by tree vines descending from the sky and pulled towards the dense canopy high above.

The battle ended, and all three survivors were severely wounded. The Silver-Eyed One, who had been cowering under the tree, now laughed:

"You are all finished, you are all finished."

The canopy of the corpse tree shook violently, making rustling sounds, it wanted to...

"No one come near me!"

Xia De leaned on the ground, panting heavily, almost tearing his throat as he shouted to Miss Bei Ya Si and Miss Annette. The battle was over, but he had to pay the price for illegally using a Miracle.

The shaking tree canopy and all the tree vines reaching towards the three stopped, and the Silver-Eyed One's voice also abruptly ceased. Then the tree completely returned to calm, because it sensed something even more terrifying.

The sound of breaking glass appeared around Xia De, one after another, in the huge underground cavern. Dozens of black cracks, visible to the naked eye, shattered space; something even more terrifying, far more terrifying than anything seen tonight, was coming.

Xia De had used Laleg's Leap eight times in just three seconds. Professor Garcia didn't lie to him; something was indeed attracted.

"Xia De!"

Miss Bei Ya Si called out, but Miss Annette stopped her. Xia De said no more, got up and rushed towards the depths of the gloomy room. Now the corpse tree was terrified, so passing under the tree was no longer dangerous.

Those black cracks also followed him away, leaving Miss Bei Ya Si and Miss Annette supporting each other under the faint glow of the tree vines:

"Iluna, trust him."

But her purple eyes were still full of worry.

Miss Bei Ya Si bit her lip and nodded, then looked in the direction of the Silver-Eyed One, the anger in her eyes almost uncontrollable:

"All of this is because of you."

Feeling the taste of the intact leaf in his mouth, Xia De, running, his eyes swept over the increasingly close dark cracks beside him. That was the deepest black, and just a glance made his soul feel as if it were being sucked in.

Disorder and chaos were the most direct sensations from the depths of those cracks. He knew something was peeking at him from behind the cracks, but he couldn't imagine what was behind them.

No matter how fast he ran, those cracks got closer and closer. He could already hear overlapping whispers, hear language that almost made his head explode roaring from behind the cracks. He even heard vague barking, but he couldn't be sure if it was an illusion.

If he kept running, he would be dead for sure.
