Lin Fan didn’t waste any more time after this.
Now that the matter had been settled here, he immediately headed back to the Laver Empire where Rokuko’s dungeon was.
Originally, he should have wandered the Kalos Empire a bit longer and took care of a few more things for Haku, but he just didn’t have the time for it.

He had to travel normally in the lands of the Kalos Empire and cross the border properly to make sure that he didn’t attract any attention. That meant that he had to take it slow as he made his way back to the Laver Empire.
But the moment that he was in the Laver Empire, Lin Fan wasted no time at all.
The Laver Empire was controlled by Haku’s dungeon, so it was different.
There was no way that anyone would be able to spy on him without Haku knowing in the territory of the Laver Empire.
When he arrived back in the town, he found that there was a group from the Laver Empire that was already there. It was the same group from before that had come to visit to give him Haku’s orders.
After arriving, the first thing that they did was head down into the dungeon through the secret tunnel.
It didn’t take long for them to arrive at the core of the dungeon so they could talk.
But it wasn’t just this group that was here.
Since this group was here, it was only natural that Haku was here as well.
Though this time, they weren’t here to chase Haku down.
This time, they were here to escort Haku here so she could discuss things with me.
At the same time, there was something that Haku wanted to know.

“We were discussing what the situation was and coming up with plans.” Yue Lan calmly replied.
Haku narrowed her eyes to look at Yue Lan when she heard this before saying, “So you’re saying that you haven’t prepared anything ahead of time and are coming up with plans on the fly?”
Yue Lan didn’t get flustered at this accusation.
She just looked right into Haku’s eyes and calmly said, “Only a fool would share this kind of sensitive information through unsafe lines. Only by doing this can we make sure that no one finds out about what we’re doing.”
Haku was naturally unhappy that she had been called a fool, but she also couldn’t refute this.
Well, she could have if she wanted to be irrational, but she could see the way that Rokuko was looking at her. No matter what it was, Rokuko really was the best way to restrain Haku.
So she took a deep breath and said, “Alright, what plans do you have?”
Yue Lan didn’t answer this question, instead she asked her own question, “What kind of resources will be available to us?”
Haku narrowed her eyes when she heard this before saying, “You should already know what the resources of the Laver Empire are. This is something that he should already know after everything that happened.”
Yue Lan wasn’t moved by this as she continued asking, “Yes, but what resources will be made available to us?”
Haku narrowed her eyes even more when she heard this, but this time she didn’t say anything. She just calmly looked at Yue Lan as if she was scoping her out and on her part, Yue Lan looked back at her without a single trace of fear.
The two of them just continued to stare at each other like this for a bit before Haku finally broke the silence.
She gave a nod to one of the people from the Laver Empire and they took out some documents that she handed over to Yue Lan. Only after handing these over did she say, “I think you’ll be satisfied with this.”
Yue Lan didn’t say anything as she started going over these things with Ming Xin.
There was a silence that lingered in the air as the two of them were focused on this document that they were given. There was no reaction from their expressions, so no one knew what they were thinking.
Only after a long while did Yue Lan reveal a disappointed look to say, “Is that it?”
Haku was surprised before she knitted her brows to show her displeasure, “What do you mean by that? This is already more than enough to show the sincerity of our Laver Empire. Are you saying that this isn’t enough?”
“Are you destroying a kingdom or an empire? If it was that easy to destroy the Kalos Empire, wouldn’t you have done it already? The reason that you haven’t done it yet is because you haven’t figured out a way to properly incorporate their territory into your own, isn’t that right?” Yue Lan said with a trace of provocation.
Haku knitted her brows more when she heard this, but she didn’t refute it.
This was indeed the problem that she faced when expanding her territory and it was the reason why the Laver Empire hadn’t been to war in a long time. It was the fact that she couldn’t figure out a way to safely incorporate all the territory that they would gain to her dungeon.
But it wasn’t as if Haku couldn’t read between the lines.
She could tell that the way that Yue Lan said this, it seemed that she had the solution to her problem.
That was why Haku slowly showed an interested look as she said, “Alright, tell me what your idea is and I’ll decide on how much to give you.”
This time, Yue Lan didn’t act mysterious.
Instead, she looked at Lin Fan with a smile that confused him before she said, “It’s very simple, we’ll be taking a page out of his book. This is something that he’s using right now with our dungeon, so it’s something that we’re certain will work.”
Haku had a trace of displeasure in her eyes when she heard that it was something that Lin Fan came up with, but she was still interested as she waited for Yue Lan to explain.

“We’ve never even thought of this, so how could we have been using it before?” Haku said with a snort that made the bitter smile on Lin Fan’s face fill with even more bitterness.
