Chapter 61: The general offensive begins

Dago fully activated his mental force field, soaring through the air like a cannonball.

In just a few minutes, he flew over the Town.

He released his mental power like a blazing sun, attracting the attention of all the Witches in the Town.

Large numbers of wandering Witches looked up at the sky in unison, then instinctively raised their hands to shield their eyes.

In their eyes, Dago was emitting a dazzling and scorching light, like a small sun.

Their faces showed shock, which quickly turned into deep envy.

Dago's aura and light spread further and further, and more and more passing Witches felt it and stopped.

This leaked aura was also detected by the academy further away.

Many people exclaimed in awe, their faces filled with envy and joy.

"All Witches and mortals who hear me, from this moment on, run immediately! A large number of Black Robe Wizards are attacking outside the city!"

Dago shouted loudly in the sky.

Unfortunately, he had no amplifying runes or skills, so he could only rely on his voice.

However, most Witches still heard him.

The Witches who heard immediately relayed Dago's words, causing a huge sensation among the crowd.

After all, these were the words of a Formal Wizard; everyone would take them seriously.

Dago then headed to the academy's gate, where he saw several Half-step Formal Witches already waiting for him.

Dago dispersed the mental force field around him and descended.

He immediately spoke to those Witches with righteous indignation: "To the north of the Town, a large number of Black Robe Wizards are moving towards the academy, led by two Formal Wizards. May the academy take care of itself."

The several Half-step Formal Witches were about to ask Dago for more information, but Dago turned and left after speaking.

They watched Dago's retreating figure, not daring to speak, only looking enviously as he flew towards the sky.

They then immediately turned and entered the academy, reporting to the Headmaster and mobilizing Witches to defend the academy.

The crowds flowed like water towards the Wizard Hall and the academy, and some people directly bypassed both, fleeing the Town to further places.

Individual choices in the face of a great tide are always different, but there is no such thing as fate in this world.

In just a dozen minutes, the outer sky of the Town was completely stained with blood.

A thick and oppressive blood lake, like a solidified giant blood clot, slowly moved towards the Town, with thick crimson blood dripping down.

Aynak Town was completely engulfed in a gloomy and eerie atmosphere.

The noisy and chaotic sounds in the Wizard Hall seemed to suddenly disappear in an instant.

Everyone stopped moving, involuntarily looking up at the sky.

Under the blood-red sky, the faces of countless small and fragile people were filled with shock, bewilderment...

And the constantly growing fear of the unknown disaster that was about to arrive.

In the eyes of the Evil God fanatics, humans are naturally prey, fragile, timid, and the best material for sacrifice.

Time seemed to stand still at this moment.

"Sacrifice all life here to the great Blood Mother Erzog!"

Flax's cold, hoarse, aged voice swept through like a chilling valley wind. As it sounded, the blood lake in the sky crashed down, transforming into a monstrous wave of blood!

The blood wave became Erzog's will-carrier. Wherever it flowed, life would be deconstructed into flesh and blood, and souls would be steeped into vengeful spirits.

The blood wave, like 'living blood,' quickly swept towards the Wizard Hall.

Boom!!! The blood wave slammed directly towards the Wizard Hall, but was blocked by the Hall's bubble-like protective shield.

The blood wave sprouted countless dark red tentacles that wrapped around the bubble shield. The surface of the tentacles was covered with human fingers and teeth.

The fingers clawed and scraped at the bubble shield, and the teeth gnawed at it.

Rapidly consuming the energy of the Wizard Hall's protective shield, the internal rune array emitted an overwhelmed hum.

The entire Wizard Hall instantly plunged into immense chaos, with large numbers of civilians crying, clutching their heads, and screaming.

The Witches in the Hall, however, brandished their weapons and cast spells at the blood tentacles, preventing them from eroding the protective shield.

At the same time, four airships flew from the academy towards the Wizard Hall, including Headmaster Jodes's huge airship.

The magic cannons on the four airships bombarded the blood wave in turns. Coupled with the magic attacks from inside the Hall, they actually managed to push back the blood wave.

They established a magical defense line around the Wizard Hall, stopping the blood wave's advance.

Unfortunately, it didn't last long. After the academy's side depleted a lot of the blood wave's energy, its height dropped to a dozen meters.

They then faced dozens of Level 3 Apprentice Wizards who charged out from the blood wave's flanks, engaging them in battle.

Even more terrifying, wounds created near the blood wave could not heal; blood would flow from the wounds into the blood wave and merge with it.

The four airships in the air also came under attack from a Formal Wizard of the Dark Blood Council, forcing them to pause their magical bombardment of the blood wave and focus on defending themselves.

Dago stood in the air, looking at the blood wave at roughly his height, torn between whether to intervene or observe.

Morality whipped at his conscience like a lash, making him twitch in pain.

"There are no chasms before a fierce tiger, but only obstacles before a coward. I'll do it, even if it's foolish passion at play."

He gritted his teeth, preparing to unleash his most destructive spell, the Flame Core Air Bullet.

Suddenly, Dago's movements froze.

A fishy wind blew, making his magic robe flutter.

Dago saw an elderly Wizard, wearing a blood-red robe and holding a spine staff, floating silently in the air several tens of meters directly in front of him.

This person was none other than Dark Blood Councilor Flax, who was observing him with keen interest.

Around Flax, deep crimson mist billowed in large clumps, ethereal and formless, yet possessing an inexplicable majestic aura.

These mists swirled around Flax, constantly shifting, making him appear like a colossal immortal god from a distance.

The next moment, protected by the blood mist, he rapidly approached Dago!

Just as he was about to arrive, Dago's right hand had already transformed into an Ice Claw, ready for battle.

Flax stopped abruptly at a distance of about a dozen meters. He smiled and said, "Are you interested in joining the Dark Blood Council? I can guarantee you'll become a Dark Blood Councilor."

"How should I put it?" Dago looked at him for a few seconds, then sneered, "Before you, Erzog probably also tried to turn me into its loyal dog."

Then he yawned and said, "Too bad I don't accept, old beast, let's fight."

Flax's grin gradually turned into a sneer: "Good spirit, but you're seeking death."

He slightly raised his spine staff and gently swiped it, and a blood-red giant scythe instantly formed, slashing towards Dago.

A few stray black hairs on Dago's temples were blown up by the wind. His face was calm, and he raised his hand, unleashing an Air Bullet to counter it.

Boom!!! A violent explosion occurred when the blood-red giant scythe and the Air Bullet collided, and the Air Bullet was cut open.

The blood-red giant scythe's momentum greatly diminished, swaying in the air as it headed towards Dago.

In a flash, another Air Bullet gathered in mid-air! It slammed into the blood-red giant scythe!

Boom~~ The blood-red giant scythe shattered into fragments only after the explosion of this Air Bullet.

It seems it takes two of my Air Bullets to withstand one of his blood-red giant scythe attacks!!!
