Chapter 6: Malik, go check your brain.

Kagura Kiryu thought about it and felt it was very possible.

Mainly, he remembered hearing a voice from his deck before he transmigrated.

He walked closer to the Rare Card Hunter, picked up the scattered deck, and examined it carefully: "They're all fake cards."

Katsuya Jonouchi had approached at some point and looked at the deck in Kagura Kiryu's hand, indignant: "Garooz people are always like this!"

He waved his fist: "Last time I met a Gurus Hunter who wanted to bet cards with me, but after I won, I found out his deck was full of fake cards!"

Kagura Kiryu then made a discovery: "Hmm? This Blade Rabbit seems to be real; it should be the only real card in his deck."

He waved that card at the Rare Card Hunter, who was lying motionless on the ground: "Then, according to the bet, I'll take this Blade Rabbit."

Jonouchi suddenly exclaimed again, patting Kagura Kiryu's shoulder: "You're amazing, almost as good as me, Master Jonouchi! What's your name?"

Orange Juice was quite confident (Jonouchi's nickname is Orange Juice), but he was, after all, a reformed delinquent, and his nature wasn't bad, so Kagura Kiryu didn't bother arguing with him.

"My name is Kagura Kiryu, nice to meet you."

Kagura Kiryu greeted Jonouchi, imitating characters from the Japanese anime he watched.

"Then I'll call you Kagura from now on!"

Jonouchi gave a hearty punch: "Although you already know, I still have to introduce myself. I am Katsuya Jonouchi, and everyone calls me Jonouchi!"

Kagura Kiryu maintained a polite smile: "Thank you for this time; otherwise, if these Garooz people lost and didn't admit it, and just snatched my cards, that would have been terrible."

Jonouchi was a little embarrassed by the sudden thanks and ran a hand through his yellow hair.

"Hahahaha, it's nothing."

Kagura Kiryu chuckled inwardly, hehe, it really was nothing. A few two-meter-tall strong men were indeed a piece of cake for Jonouchi.

After all, in the original work, he was comparable to a human war god, and he seemed to be a master fighter, taking down a group of people with his good brother Honda.

He even got hit in the face by Slifer the Sky Dragon and woke up after only a few hours, bouncing around as if nothing had happened.

This is only in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh; in other worlds, I, Orange Juice, would at least be a mini-Homelander.

"Yosh, it's not good to stay here long, Kagura, let's go!"

As the two of them took their first steps, they suddenly heard a voice from behind: "Stop!"

They turned around in surprise and found that the Rare Card Hunter, who had been unconscious moments ago, had shakily stood up.

His eyes were unfocused, and the Millennium Eye symbol, identical to the Millennium Rod's, appeared on his forehead.

Kagura Kiryu understood; this should be Malik possessing him.

Malik is the leader of Garooz and possesses the Millennium Rod, one of the seven Millennium Items, which can alter and control others' memories.

It seemed to be like this in the anime; every time his subordinate Rare Card Hunter lost, Malik would use the Millennium Rod to enter his subordinate's mind.

Then he would say a few useless threats or warnings and conveniently punish his subordinates by turning them into vegetables or something similar.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but complain. As expected of Malik, nicknamed "Six-Year-Old," his dueling was terrible, and he was only ruthless towards his own people.

Hmm, at this time, Malik should not have been possessed by "Six-Year-Old" yet; it should be the more naive regular Malik.

As he expected, when the Rare Card Hunter saw them turn around, he opened his mouth and spoke in a young boy's voice that wasn't his own:

"I am Malik Ishtar, long time no see, Katsuya Jonouchi..."

"And, a pleasure to meet you, Kagura Kiryu."

"Malik!"

Jonouchi exclaimed excitedly: "It's you again, you scoundrel!"

"Hmph hmph hmph, Jonouchi, it's a pity I couldn't steal your Red-Eyes Black Dragon last time."

Malik was currently on a yacht hundreds of kilometers from Tongshiye City, but his mind had infiltrated the Rare Card Hunter in front of them.

"But my target today isn't you."

The Rare Card Hunter turned to Kagura Kiryu, speaking in Malik's voice:

"Kagura Kiryu, I saw the duel just now. Through this trash's memories, you are indeed a skilled Duelist."

"And, I didn't expect you to possess a rare card, Black Magician."

"Hmph hmph hmph, very good, I've decided, I will take your Black Magician, and Jonouchi's Red-Eyes Black Dragon!"

"It's just a pity that I haven't arrived in Tongshiye City myself yet, but it doesn't matter, I will send Garooz assassins, elite Rare Card Hunters. Wash your necks and wait for me!"

After he finished speaking, the Rare Card Hunter collapsed to the ground, and the Millennium Eye symbol on his forehead gradually faded.

Kagura Kiryu: "So, this Mr. Malik just wanted to say hello to us and then warn us that he sent enemies?"

"Why not act secretly? Wouldn't that be more effective?"

Katsuya Jonouchi: ...

It was fine until he said it, but once he did, Jonouchi suddenly felt that Malik might have some mental problems.

"Who knows, maybe he's mentally ill."

The two quickly parted ways. Kagura Kiryu walked home, deep in thought.

In the original work, Jonouchi only learned about Malik after the Duel City began.

This world really has some differences from the anime.

As for being targeted by the Rare Card Hunter, he accepted it well.

After all, the value of three Black Magicians was there; he would definitely be entangled by Rare Card Hunters in Duel City as well.

Now, it was just a few days earlier, at most.

"Mio-jie, you're awake."

As soon as Kagura Kiryu returned home, he saw Mio Yozaki sprawled on the sofa watching TV, hugging a pile of snacks, looking like a shut-in.

"You went out? No wonder I couldn't find you."

She casually glanced at Kagura Kiryu and instantly became alert: "You went out and dueled someone?"

Kagura Kiryu nodded, hesitated for a moment, but finally decided to confess: "A Garooz Rare Card Hunter tried to steal my cards."

"What!?"

Mio Yozaki immediately jumped up, her cool attire revealing everything: "They dare to steal my little brother's cards, these Garooz!"

"Let's go, I'll help you get your cards back."

"No, no."

Kagura Kiryu quickly stopped her: "I won."

Mio Yozaki froze, then quickly moved closer, her beautiful face almost touching his: "You? You won against a Garooz Rare Card Hunter?"

Kagura Kiryu felt a little shy inside, but it didn't show on his face: "Yes, but it seems they're holding a grudge and said they'd send more powerful Duelists."

He said seriously: "Mio-jie, these people are bad guys who don't follow martial ethics. Be careful recently, lest they take their anger out on you."

"Ha, who do you think I am?"

Mio Yozaki proudly puffed out her chest, which rippled from the sudden movement: "This old lady is very strong."

"Yes, yes."

Kagura Kiryu sighed, just about to sneak back to the attic when Mio Yozaki grabbed him.

Her oppressive gaze swept over him: "Don't try to change the subject, you haven't told me how you defeated Garooz yet."
