Chapter 6: Diagnosed as amnesiac

In a flash, several people arrived at the academy's plaza. The surrounding teaching buildings were tall, bright, and neatly arranged. It was currently after class, and many students were strolling around. They wore uniform attire: white formal wear for men and matching short skirts for women.

They saw the Dean and the others, and their expressions turned to surprise and confusion. It wasn't that they hadn't seen them before; rather, their gazes were fixed on Aiersi, who was on the Dean's back.

"Stop staring, everyone. Disperse."

A young man curiously asked, "Dean, who is that person on your back, dressed in such ragged, dirty, and messy clothes?"

"I don't know who she is, but you shouldn't speak about her like that. There's a reason she looks this way; she just went through a battle, after all."

"Oh... I thought a country bumpkin had gotten in. Speaking of which, can you stop bringing these strange people back?"

"Strange? Is she strange? Do you think I brought back another amazing person? Those two girls I brought back last time were a pair of sisters, incredibly strong. The older sister even shot straight to the top of the academy's rankings. Is that why you're upset?"

"That's not what I meant. What are you planning to do with her?"

"We'll see. Let's wait until she wakes up first."

After speaking, he took her to the Academy Medical Office, while Videl and the other two could only walk somewhat dejectedly towards the other side, which was the teachers' exclusive apartment.

Inside the Medical Office...

Even the medical staff were shocked by Aiersi's injuries...

"What happened to this child? How could she be so severely injured? What happened?"

The Dean could only awkwardly explain, "Uh... we found her in the jungle. She seemed to be alone at the time."

"How could she dare to go to those places without her parents accompanying her?"

Healing magic shifted in the medical staff's hands. Aiersi's fractured limbs returned to their proper places with a series of cracking sounds, and her injuries healed at a visible rate.

"It's so strange. How is she still alive with these kinds of injuries? The probability is too small..."

"One can only say she's lucky. The magical beast she encountered enjoyed toying with life. It's a miracle she's still alive, but she truly has a tough life."

"I'm curious, though, where are her parents?"

Facing the medical staff's questions, the Dean could only shake his head helplessly.

"Didn't find them?"

"It seems she went alone, but she was in the outer perimeter, not too dangerous. She just had bad luck and encountered a Top Tier Stone Giant."

"Then how did you all return?"

"If it hadn't gotten tired of playing, we wouldn't have made it back..."

The medical staff sighed helplessly, "Be careful next time. That forest is no longer a place for normal people to go."

"It wasn't like this a decade ago. If not for a mysterious organization on the magical beast side, especially the Purple Demon King who leads them, protecting them and constantly roaming around, it wouldn't be so difficult for us."

"Don't think about it. The surrounding areas aren't heavily affected yet, but don't go to the Purple Demon King's territory. You can go if you think your life is too long."

"I really don't understand..."

"Alright, don't disturb the injured person's rest. She'll rest here with me for now. We'll ask her when she wakes up."

"Okay, but are you sure she's not in serious danger?"

"You still don't trust me?" the doctor asked.

"No, no, I'm just worried."

"Alright, put your mind at ease. Leave this to me."

The medical staff directly pushed the Dean out. This abnormal behavior made the Dean very confused.

The Dean stood outside the door, pondering, "Oh dear... why is this guy acting like this today? He used to not be in such a hurry to rush people out."

With his confusion, the Dean took out the medal again...

Inside the Medical Office...

"Hehe... finally got rid of the Dean. This child is not simple; it seems... she's hiding something. Let me take a look..."

As he spoke, he rummaged through her pockets. After finding nothing, his gaze fell on a very ordinary pouch at Aiersi's waist.

As for why something attracted him so much, it was because when he used magic on Aiersi, he noticed something unusual—a feeling of rare medicinal herbs.

Just as he was about to reach for the pouch at Aiersi's waist, a large hand directly grabbed him. The Dean's voice rang in his ear.

"Hey... it's not good to mess with other people's things. What is it that attracts you so much? You used to be quite honest. What could interest you?"

"This... this... this, I was just worried about her things..."

"Excuse. The only things that interest you are some medicinal herbs. Could it be..."

"You know, I just wanted to take a look."

"If I weren't here, you probably would have taken it, and you probably haven't done these things any less, have you?"

"Uh..."

Facing the Dean's cold expression, he broke out in a cold sweat, unsure what to say for a moment.

"Alright, I'll watch over her. You can leave."

With that, he didn't indulge him. He flicked his finger, and the door opened directly. He pushed him out and closed the door.

After the person was gone, the Dean also wondered, "Medicinal herbs? Something that could interest him? How is that possible?"

The Dean was now also intensely interested in that pouch, but he suppressed the feeling. He wouldn't be like that medical staff just now...

"Oh dear... I'll just take a peek, it should be fine."

As he spoke, a familiar scene reappeared. However, this time Aiersi woke up directly.

"Eh?"

The Dean let out a muffled sound and quickly withdrew his hand. Fortunately, his hand speed was fast enough that he wasn't seen.

Aiersi sat up blankly, scanning her surroundings with a somewhat dazed expression.

"Is she dumbfounded? Or..."

The Dean observed her condition. After a long while, Aiersi opened her mouth with a questioning look.

"W-where is this? And who are you?"

"This is the Magic Academy in Odora City, and I am the Dean of the academy."

"How did I end up here? Shouldn't I be in the forest?"

"I'm not too clear about your situation, but were you abused by that Stone Giant? Try to recall carefully what happened."

"Huh? Was I?"

Hearing this, Aiersi was completely bewildered, as if this had never happened.

The Dean looked at her silly appearance and sighed, secretly thinking, 'It's over, it's over, she's been beaten silly.'

Although the Dean wasn't entirely sure what had happened, he still tentatively asked,

"You... really can't remember?"

"Uh... no, I can't remember. Did that happen?"

Aiersi's mind was chaotic at this moment, very confused. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't remember. She seemed to have no such experience, which left her utterly bewildered.

Seeing her reaction, the Dean was even more convinced that she was silly, but he decided to test her anyway.

"What... did you do before? Can you remember? Your name is..."

"My name is Aiersi, as for what I do, it seems..."

This stumped Aiersi because the things she did in this world these people wouldn't believe, and she intended to hide it. But what she didn't know was that during her period of thought, the Dean became even more certain that she had amnesia.

"Alright, don't force it if you can't remember, you poor thing. Do you still remember who your parents are?" the Dean said, lightly patting his forehead.

Aiersi pondered for a moment, then whispered in a low voice, "I... don't have..."

The Dean realized he had touched a raw nerve and repeatedly apologized, "I'm sorry, please forgive me for asking what I shouldn't have."

Indeed, after Aiersi came to this world, her former family was long gone. Although there were still two people whose identities were unclear, all her so-called former family had disappeared...

As for Xiao Huang and the others, and the current barrier, they could be considered her home, but it was a home shared by everyone.

"Oh, right, protect your pouch. It seems to contain something valuable."

Aiersi said indifferently, "It's nothing, just a few blades of grass."

"Grass? Can you show me what kind of grass it is?"

The Dean, hearing 'grass' and recalling the medical staff's reaction earlier, asked with some interest.

"Uh... you're not sick, what do you need it for?"

"I'm not saying I need it now; I just want to know what it is?"

"Tian Ling Grass... Eh?!"

Before Aiersi could finish, the Dean excitedly grabbed her shoulders with his hands, asking with a trembling voice, "Is it really that?"

Seeing the Dean's disbelief, Aiersi directly untied the pouch and took out a stalk of Tian Ling Grass radiating powerful vitality, which made the Dean's expression light up.

"Can you sell it to me? I'll agree to any condition!"

"What do you need it for? You're not sick..."

"I don't need it, but my brother does. How about I find him to talk to you? You just stay put."

The Dean said and rushed out, leaving Aiersi utterly bewildered.

After the Dean left, Aiersi looked left and right. Finding no one around, she spoke to herself, "What's going on? How did I get here? Xiao Huang, do you know?"

"Eh?! I don't know..."

"You're lying to me..."

As Aiersi's consciousness entered the Communication Realm, she discovered a helpless scene.

Besides Xiao Huang, Ye Feng and Yin Lin were still sleeping, but the difference was that Xiao Huang had her hands hidden behind her back this time.

"How is that possible? I'm the most honest one."

"Hmm? Did you also learn from Zi Ming? Take out what's behind your back."

Xiao Huang nervously retreated a few steps, shaking her head repeatedly.

Seeing Xiao Huang's appearance, Aiersi guessed roughly what had happened. It was probably all her doing, and she even used her perception to see a tiny needle mark on Ye Feng and the others...

"Something like this happening must be because you did something. Confess honestly."

"I did it, but..."

"You can't hide it. The poisonous gas behind you exposed you."

"Eh?!"

The moment she turned back, Aiersi darted forward, grabbed her small hand, and pulled it out.

Poisonous barbs on her arm emitted terrifying poisonous gas, which made Aiersi's face turn cold.

"So... you're experimenting on me, huh?"

"Hehe... I was wrong... Ah..."

Aiersi clenched her fists and vigorously rubbed her temples.

"You can experiment, but you need to find the right person. You also laid your poisonous hands on the other two, didn't you?"

"Wrong, wrong. This poison isn't harmful to living beings; at most, it'll make them sleep for half a day," Xiao Huang explained.

"Ah... no wonder they slept so soundly, waking up completely bewildered, you're really ruthless, no memory at all after waking up."

"Ah... it hurts..."

Upon hearing this, Aiersi rubbed even harder. Doing this behind her back, and experimenting on others, filled her with anger. But the plan was good overall; as for the specific details, she still had to ask Xiao Huang...

Under Aiersi's persistent questioning, Xiao Huang also confessed what had happened.

"You, you're more cunning than Zi Ming. You even brought me along, didn't you? But next time, remember, when you experiment, just find Zi Ming. I know this is meant to deal with him; it's a matter between the two of you."

"Understood..."

Xiao Huang gave an awkward smile. She wasn't punished, but Aiersi forced her to confess with a demand: if she didn't tell, she would reveal Zi Ming's hidden warehouse, which Zi Ming had been looking for. As for why he was like this, it was unclear, but Xiao Huang seemed quite afraid.

"Good plan, so now should I play dumb?"

"Sometimes, being a little silly is good, isn't it?"

Aiersi looked at Xiao Huang strangely, feeling that something wasn't quite right.

"Are you... simply wanting to see me act young?"

Xiao Huang's expression was a little evasive, but after a moment, she explained with a lewd smile.

"You found out again, but it's come to this point, you wouldn't want all your efforts to go to waste, would you? Isn't this just perfect?"

This tone, this expression, reminded Aiersi of a certain demon, making her want to cry without tears...
