Chapter 183: #183 - Firefly and Killer Croc

Shimizu and Harvey Dent had just taken the elevator downstairs and opened the front door when Barry appeared before Shimizu in a flash of red lightning.

"Walt, what's going on?"

Barry asked Shimizu.

"Another world that has fallen into darkness is about to invade us, dragging us down with it. He has a split personality and can talk to his other self in that world."

Shimizu pointed to Harvey Dent.

"Uh… dude, I feel like I've seen you in the newspapers and on the news. You seem like… some kind of supervillain?"

"I'm Harvey Dent. You're right, I'm a supervillain who's robbed banks more than ten times, but for now, I'm on your side."

"Alright, you can call me the Flash."

Barry said to Harvey Dent.

"He sent a distress signal, asking us to assist immediately. He can't hold on for too long."

Two-Face suddenly said.

"Who is he? Where is he?"

Barry asked curiously.

"Batman. He's already gone to the other world ahead of us."

Shimizu told Barry the route Harvey had just dictated.

Then, Shimizu felt a dizzy spell, and the three of them instantly changed locations, arriving in a spacious, gloomy underground auditorium.

The auditorium was surrounded by mysterious and bizarre owl sculptures, with an open circular door at the far end.

An old acquaintance of Shimizu's—Nightwing.

"Walt…"

Nightwing looked at Shimizu and pursed his lips.

He still remembered how he had been played by this guy, allowing him to escape Arkham Asylum.

But now, in just over a year, such drastic changes had occurred that, even today, they had to rely on Walt's power to help Batman save Jason and this world.

"Did Batman send you here to guard the gate?"

Shimizu asked Nightwing.

"Sort of."

Nightwing nodded calmly.

"This is the Flash from Central City, the reinforcements I've called in. If things become impossible, he will be our last line of defense."

Shimizu introduced Nightwing.

If the situation really reached the point of no return, they would have to rely on the Flash's ability to travel back to a point in time when things could still be salvaged, resetting the universe's timeline to a certain moment.

As long as it didn't reset to before he arrived in this world, Shimizu could synchronize with his original body to restore his memories.

"I know you."

Nightwing said, looking at Barry.

He had seen Barry's information on the Batcomputer.

"That's normal. I'm often in the newspapers."

Barry smiled and spread his hands.

"Now, should we go?"

"Let's go."

Shimizu extended his five fingers towards the white suitcase.

In the blink of an eye, the White Knight armor attached to Shimizu's body, forming a tall, white metal robot.

Stepping through the circular space door, Shimizu realized that the strange colors he had seen earlier were the colors of this world's sky.

In the distance, the sun was gradually setting, carrying a hint of silent pale red and orange.

The remaining sky was covered in green, from light to dark.

The night here seemed to be this color, making this world appear strange and oppressive.

"Oh, this looks like a set for an 'Evil Dead' movie."

Barry curiously looked around, playing the role of the atmosphere group.

This should be the outskirts of Gotham.

"Follow me. The terrain here is different from our Gotham, and the people are different too. We have to be careful."

Harvey Dent said, leading the way.

This place was very similar to the Gotham they lived in, but the architectural style was more absurd and bizarre. The whole city seemed as if some being had casually scribbled it, chaotic and disorganized.

As soon as they entered the city, screams rang out.

In the distance, someone dressed like an insect was flying in the sky, wantonly spewing flames at a group of fleeing citizens, making rampant noises.

"That's Firefly. Our Firefly relies on armor to set fires, but this one has the ability to control flames. His armor amplifies his power many times over."

Harvey Dent introduced.

Barry couldn't help himself, turning into a streak of red lightning and quickly moving the fleeing citizens away from the ground.

"Hmm?"

Firefly stretched out his hand, expanding the range of the flames several times, unleashing countless fire snakes to chase after Barry.

"Sigh…"

Shimizu knew that it was impossible for Barry to ignore it, and he could only help him solve this problem as quickly as possible.

Immediately, the wings on White Knight's back opened, and he soared into the sky.

Firefly also noticed the white metal man flying towards him, and once again threw out a large ball of scorching flames.

Deep blue light converged on White Knight's right arm, finally shooting out a thick freezing ray from the ejection port on the side of his arm, colliding with the fireball.

Steam emerged and quickly condensed into frost, finally pushing back towards Firefly, freezing him completely.

[Current coolant remaining—sixty percent]

Fortunately, the Freeze Gun and Firefly counteracted each other. It only required releasing enough coolant at once, exceeding Firefly's burst limit, to quickly resolve him.

To this end, Shimizu directly used forty percent of his coolant reserves.

"You can't step in every time you see something like this. You can't save everyone in this world."

Harvey Dent said to Barry, who had returned to his side.

"I know, but I just want to try when I see it, and at my speed, it doesn't take much time, does it?"

Barry smiled.

"No matter how fast you are, there will eventually be times when you are too late."

Shimizu walked back and said to Barry.

Fast people are always the ones who are most often late for the most important things.

The Flash was like this, and so was Minato Namikaze.

"We have more important things to do and can't waste time here. Barry, you have to remember that what we are carrying now is an entire world."

"Okay, I understand. So, where do we go next?"

"We have to hide first."

Shimizu suddenly turned to look at the distance on the other side.

A mountain-like figure was slowly walking towards them like a monster.

This was Killer Croc from this world, and he was much stronger than the one Shimizu and the others were from, over a hundred meters tall, with terrifying strength and sturdy scales.

He had been attracted by the commotion caused by Firefly and Shimizu just now.

The three quickly moved to avoid Killer Croc.

"Didn't you say that many of the villains here were killed? How come we've only seen two in such a short time?"

Shimizu asked Harvey Dent inquisitively.
