Chapter 3: Hermione Granger

Brook handed the written reply to Dumbledore.

Dumbledore examined it carefully, then had Brook sign his name.

Only then did he fold the letter and tuck it solemnly into his Pregnant.

Seeing his actions, Brook completely resigned himself to fate.

Forget it.

If I have to go to school, I'll go to school!

Besides, I can get some quest rewards along the way.

“Normally, after receiving a reply, the school sends someone to give you an initial understanding of the magic world. But since I'm already here, I'll take you myself!” Dumbledore said gently.

Just as I thought, this old man came specifically for him!

He's been exposed!

(╬◣д◢)

But what else could Brook say?

He could only nod in agreement.

Dumbledore happily stuffed all the candy from the coffee table into his pockets, leaving not a single piece for Brook.

Then he walked towards the door with light steps.

His red high heels were particularly eye-catching in the sunlight.

As soon as the two reached the door, they saw a cute little girl releasing an owl.

The owl was still holding a letter in its beak.

The little girl happily waved goodbye to the owl.

“Bye-bye, have a good trip.”

Brook and Dumbledore just watched silently.

The little girl seemed to sense something and looked back.

“Ah! Brook… Grandpa, good morning!”

She was a little flustered, rubbing her small hands constantly, a blush appearing on her face (ꈍ ᴗ ꈍ).

Dumbledore chuckled as he looked at the little girl.

Brook naturally knew what Hermione was doing.

But it was a good chance to tease her.

“Hermione, what were you doing just now?”

Hermione’s little face turned redder, and she stammered,

“I… that owl flew to my house, and it looked very hungry, so I fed it some food, and I was just sending it off.”

She didn't want to keep it a secret; it was just that the matters of Wizards and magic schools were too fantastical.

She didn't want to be thought of as crazy.

“It seems Miss Granger is very kind-hearted.”

Dumbledore praised, his eyes full of benevolence.

“Grandpa, do you know me?” Hermione was a little confused.

“I saw your name on the acceptance list. Let me introduce myself, my name is Albus Dumbledore, the Principal of Hogwarts.”

Dumbledore heard Brook call her Hermione, and coupled with the magic he could sense from her.

He could naturally guess who she was.

Hermione’s mouth dropped open in surprise: “Ah! You… you are the Principal of Hogwarts?”

“Yes.”

“So everything in the letter is true? There really is such a school?”

“Of course it’s true, I don’t look like an old lunatic, do I?”

Dumbledore winked humorously.

“Of course not, I just find it a bit unbelievable.”

Hermione quickly waved her hands, her face full of excitement.

“Are your parents home? I’ll explain it to you all.”

“Yes, yes, they are.”

Hermione nodded quickly.

Dumbledore looked at Brook.

“Brook, it seems we need to delay some time, do you want to come in with us?”

Brook shrugged indifferently.

Hermione looked at Brook with surprise.

Being ostracized at school, she had almost no friends.

And Brook was the only one willing to talk to her.

Brook and Dumbledore knew each other, so Brook must also be a Wizard.

The three came to Granger’s house.

Hermione naturally moved closer to Brook.

“Brook, are you also going to Hogwarts?”

Brook nodded helplessly.

“That’s great.” Hermione was very happy.

“So that school is real? Are there really Wizards in the world? This is truly amazing.”

Brook pursed his lips.

If it weren't for the existence of the system.

Even if he received a letter from Hogwarts, he wouldn't become a Wizard.

As a transmigrator, he had too many ways to make money.

Wouldn't being a debauched millionaire be better?

“With your intelligence, you would definitely be a social elite, even entering politics, maybe even becoming a Prime Minister. What’s so good about being a Wizard?”

“That’s magic! magic!”

Hermione’s eyes sparkled (✧◡✧).

As Dumbledore finished his display.

He turned a teacup into a flying Phoenix.

Mr. and Mrs. Granger quickly accepted the fact.

They willingly “sold” Hermione.

Agreeing for her to study magic.

The original party of two became three.

Hermione would also go with them to Diagon Alley to buy school supplies.

“Principal, let me help you!” Hermione’s face was slightly red, wanting to help.

“I think I’m almost figuring out how to use this machine.”

Dumbledore held the money and kept fumbling with the ticket slot, though he couldn't find the way, he was exceptionally persistent.

Brook had already distanced himself from Dumbledore.

The expression on his face had synchronized with the subway, an old man, and a mobile phone.

After another five minutes.

Hermione finally burst out.

(キ`゚Д゚´)!!

She directly bought three subway tickets from a machine nearby and forcefully shoved one into Dumbledore’s hand.

Dumbledore didn’t insist, but happily accepted it.

Actually, he had already found the right slot and inserted the money, it was just that the subway lines were winding.

He still hadn't quite figured it out.

Leaving the subway, they walked for another thirty minutes before arriving at their destination—the Leaky Cauldron.

A dirty, small bar.

Sandwiched between two luxurious shops, it seemed a bit out of place.

Dumbledore led the way and pushed open the bar door.

A mix of musty and alcoholic smells wafted out, making Brook frown slightly.

The tables and chairs in the bar were very old and covered in grime.

Hermione, on the other hand, looked around curiously at the various oddly dressed Wizards.

When they saw Dumbledore, they all stood up to greet him.

“Albus, you haven’t brought new students here in a long time.”

A person who looked like the bar owner, with a receding hairline, came forward warmly.

“Tom, there are a lot of new students this year, and Minerva and the others are too busy, so I, this old bone, had to step in.”

“Many new students are a good thing. Hannah isn’t here, otherwise she would definitely want to meet the greatest Wizard of this century.”

“There are many opportunities at school.”

Dumbledore exchanged a few pleasantries with Tom, then led Brook and Hermione through the bar.

They arrived at a small courtyard enclosed by a wall.

A trash can stood in the corner of the wall, looking inconspicuous.

Dumbledore pulled out his wand and explained.

“This wall is the entrance to Diagon Alley. Next time you come, you just need to count three bricks above the trash can, then two to the right, and then tap it three times lightly with your wand.”

As his wand touched that brick.

The wall began to vibrate, and the middle part wriggled violently.

A small hole gradually expanded.

A few seconds later, an archway appeared, leading to a winding cobblestone street.

“˚*̥(∗*⁰͈꒨⁰͈)*̥ Wow~”

Hermione’s mouth was wide open, her eyes filled with awe.

Dumbledore looked at Brook again.

“How magical.” Brook replied casually.

Dumbledore, however, was very satisfied with Brook’s perfunctory response, revealing a gentle smile.

He led the way into Diagon Alley, with Hermione following closely behind.

Brook, however, looked at the trash can.

Taking advantage of no one paying attention, he quickly moved the trash can to a different spot, then quickly caught up with the group.

【Congratulations to the host for moving the trash can marking the entrance to Diagon Alley, reward: one lottery draw.】

【Congratulations to the host for first arriving at Diagon Alley, reward: one lottery draw.】

Brook’s heart swelled with joy upon hearing the system prompts.

When he learned that he was going to Diagon Alley with Dumbledore, he scanned all the related tasks issued by the system.

It's not troublesome to do easy tasks along the way.

The wall had just returned to its original state when a Wizard wanted to enter.

He knocked on the bricks several times according to the normal procedure, but there was no reaction.

So he called Old Tom and the other Wizards in the bar.

Everyone busied themselves around the wall for a long time, still at a loss.

Just as they were about to contact the Ministry of Magic, Snape strode in quickly.

Everyone quickly moved aside, and one person quietly pulled down his hood.

Snape didn’t even look at them, walking directly to the wall and lightly tapping it three times with his wand, and the archway reappeared.

He walked in, leaving everyone bewildered in the wind.
