Chapter 77: Lost Jiang Lin, the kitten with lost hair

At this moment, Jiang Lin, after mistakenly entering the fourth patient room, ran into Vika, who had just come out.

"Excuse me, sir, are you alright?"

Jiang Lin shook his head, then immediately asked, "I'm fine. Excuse me, nurse, do you know which room is Sunday's?"

Vika paused, then asked with some surprise, "You're here to visit Sunday? May I ask what your relationship with him is?"

Jiang Lin thought for a moment, then answered without batting an eyelid, "Business partners."

But Vika asked with some confusion, "Then why didn't you inquire at the front desk?"

Hearing this, Jiang Lin replied somewhat awkwardly, "I was a bit overconfident in my sense of direction, or perhaps the layout here is just too complex."

Vika was stunned, then looked a bit helpless, "You got lost, didn't you?"

Before Jiang Lin could retort, Vika pointed in a direction.

"Go down this corridor, turn left at the first intersection, and it's the first room."

After getting the answer he wanted, Jiang Lin didn't dwell on it further. After thanking her, he headed directly in the direction she indicated.

Meanwhile, in the dreamscape of Penacony, Firefly was on a spacious platform in The Golden Hour.

She quietly watched the bustling scene before her, lost in thought.

At a certain moment, a casual yet somewhat sly voice came from behind Firefly.

"Such decadence, just like Epsilon. How is it? Is it the dream you imagined?"

Firefly turned around to see a virtual projection of Silver Wolf.

"You asked that question when we first arrived here."

"Yes, I remember your answer was 'No' then. But after all that's happened, I think you're quite fond of it now."

Silver Wolf's tone was lazy, and she slightly raised her head to look at the girl she rarely saw.

"But a reminder: don't forget you're still on the Hound Family's most wanted list. Keep a low profile."

Firefly nodded, not saying much. But Silver Wolf thought for a moment, then spoke again:

"And this time it's different. The photo isn't of Sam, but of Firefly—for you, this must be a rather novel experience, right?"

"Indeed, as Kafka would say... this is also a missing part of my life. But not being able to move freely is quite inconvenient, Silver Wolf, can you help me?"

Saying this, Firefly looked down at Silver Wolf with hope.

Silver Wolf smiled triumphantly, speaking with great confidence.

"I knew you'd say that—don't worry, it's already taken care of. I've hacked the entire system, leaving no trace. Don't do anything attention-grabbing, don't provoke any guards who remember you. Follow these two rules, and no one will care about you. You can go wherever you want."

Firefly smiled happily, "Thanks."

Silver Wolf, however, joked:

"You're welcome, Ms. Samuel—haha, I like that alias."

Then the two looked together at the bustling street, Silver Wolf saying with some emotion.

"The mission in Penacony is finally complete. Reality is much more dangerous than the script. What do you plan to do next?"

Firefly paused, then said with some helplessness.

"You know, my script isn't over yet."

Silver Wolf sighed, her tone also quite helpless.

"I didn't send you back here for you to do this kind of thing."

Firefly, in turn, comforted Silver Wolf, feigning a relaxed tone.

"Don't worry. The original script said I would experience three deaths, but it also mentioned I would gain unforgettable rewards here. How will I know if I don't try? Before the outcome actually happens, all possibilities exist, right?"

Silver Wolf pouted, somewhat uncomprehending:

"How off-script is this? You're still going to continue? You might as well come back and play a few games with me."

But seeing Firefly's serious gaze, Silver Wolf gave up trying to persuade her to return.

"Fine, Kafka asked me to tell you: if you see anything good in Penacony, get one for her too. Just use her card, you know the password."

Then Silver Wolf speculated:

"She didn't specify, but it's probably some kind of Western-style coat or sunglasses. Anyway, you know more about it than I do; you're always the ones talking about fashion."

Firefly nodded, then after a moment of thought, said:

"Okay, I'll keep an eye out. The Aude Shopping Center has many choices. Do you think she'd like pretty little accessories, like hair ornaments and brooches?"

"Is that what *you* like? Then keep it for yourself. Oh, and Blade wants you to be extra careful. He didn't say it directly, but that's mostly what he meant—"

Saying this, Silver Wolf deliberately mimicked Blade's tone: "Temptation will appear again in Penacony."

"He really speaks very subtly."

Firefly smiled slightly, her tone somewhat wistful.

"It's okay, he's just being kind. Don't worry, Silver Wolf, you understand me. I won't do anything; I just want to walk around and feel this world more with my own two feet. I want to buy oak roll cakes. During my time in Penacony, I ate one roll cake every day, from the first day to the last. But today I can buy two and share half with you. If you don't like it, I'll enjoy double the pleasure. Or I can bring it to Kafka; she never refuses, or maybe to Blade; he'd like it."

Then Firefly's tone became slightly emotional, and she looked up at the distant sky.

"These things wouldn't be in the script, right? But you see... I've already added new annotations to fate."

After speaking, Firefly seemed to remember something else and asked with some concern.

"This script is a mess again. Is Elio doing alright?"

Silver Wolf shrugged, unconcerned:

"He's been pulling a few more all-nighters lately, probably trying to figure this out. He's losing hair in clumps. If you're really worried about him, you can go back and see him."

Hearing this, Firefly hesitated and asked,

"Should I buy him some hair care products in Penacony?"

"Whatever you want, but he might not use it."

Silver Wolf said indifferently.
