Chapter 4: I always feel weird

"Hmm? Where am I?" Yu Feng struggled to open his eyes, but all he saw was pitch black.

He tried to wave his arms, but it felt as if he was wrapped in some very viscous liquid.

Where am I? I'm so sleepy... Before Yu Feng could ponder why he was there, a sudden wave of drowsiness enveloped him, and he slowly drifted into sleep.

"gardevoir! (Ah! It moved just now.)"

The smallest Boss Gardevoir looked at the larger Pokémon egg twitching slightly, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"Gardevoir? (Is it about to hatch?)"

The smallest Boss Gardevoir was a bit excited. After all, she was going to be an Aunties Gardevoir in the future, and she would finally not be the youngest anymore.

"Gardevoir. (How could it be that fast? It'll take at least a month.)"

The sharp-eyed Gardevoir rubbed her forehead. This youngest sister's imagination was truly good. They didn't have human incubators, so how could it hatch so quickly?

Moreover, even if they did, an egg wouldn't hatch right after being laid.

"Gardevoir. (But I really saw it move.)"

The smallest Gardevoir mumbled a bit as she looked at the largest egg.

"Gardevoir... (I'm not going to bother with you anymore. You deal with it yourself. I need to get some good rest.)"

The sharp-eyed Gardevoir rubbed her forehead and used Teleport to disappear from in front of her.

"Gardevoir. (You two better hatch quickly, I'm waiting to be an Aunties.)"

The smallest Gardevoir held the two eggs, eagerly anticipating becoming an Aunties.

Is it here again?

Yu Feng opened his eyes, waving his arms to stir the liquid that surrounded him.

He didn't know how much time had passed; every time he opened his eyes, it was this dark expanse.

The liquid enveloping him had also changed from being viscous at first to now being easily stirred with a wave of his hand.

Yu Feng had a feeling that once this substance became as clear as water, he would be able to leave this dark place.

However, a sudden wave of drowsiness still took away his thoughts, causing him to fall back into sleep.

Chansey enveloped the two Pokémon eggs with Heal Pulse, and after a while, she wiped the sweat from her forehead with her short hands.

She then instructed the Gardevoir on the next steps, as newborn Pokémon are still very fragile.

"Happy. (It's almost time, it should hatch in about a week at most.)"

"Happy. (You all can use Heal Pulse, right?)"

"Gardevoir. (Yes, we can.)"

"Happy. (Then for the next week, you all need to use Heal Pulse three times a day—morning, noon, and night. Remember, don't stop.)"

"Gardevoir (Understood.)"

After seeing Chansey off, the sharp-eyed Gardevoir looked at the two eggs and fell into contemplation.

Light?

Yu Feng had almost adapted to this dark place.

Although it was a bit boring, feeling the liquid surrounding him gradually become clearer was also a kind of enjoyment.

But today was different; a faint white light emanated from his body.

How strange, Yu Feng thought. He didn't know why, but he wanted to speak now yet couldn't make a sound.

However, with the help of this white light, he could clearly see his surroundings.

A spherical object enveloped him, its width not allowing him to fully stretch out his arms.

But why was this light becoming increasingly dazzling?

Yu Feng was still wondering why his surroundings were getting brighter and brighter, when the light on his body gradually became blinding.

So much so that even the spherical object encasing him became bright from the reflection—no, it wasn't a reflection!

It was truly glowing, glowing in the physical sense!

The dazzling light forced Yu Feng to cover his eyes.

As if freed from a restraint, Yu Feng opened his eyes and saw several giant green humanoid creatures.

Although he couldn't tell what kind of creatures they were due to the light, he could see that they were also very surprised.

One minute ago,

"Gardevoir (You all must grow up quickly.)"

The petite Gardevoir mumbled to herself, half-asleep.

A sudden jolt startled her awake from her sweet dream. Opening her eyes, she saw the two Pokémon eggs she was holding in her arms shaking with a peculiar frequency, accompanied by very regular white light.

"gardevoir! (They're about to hatch, hurry!)"

Her psychic power spread, directly alarming the Gardevoir resting nearby.

In the blink of an eye, several figures appeared in the middle of the room, looking at the two shaking Pokémon eggs with surprise. At the doorway, Ralts and Kirlia's small heads peeked out, secretly observing the situation inside.

After waiting for so long, they were finally going to hatch.

The two Pokémon eggs in their mother's arms flashed with increasing frequency, almost like two glowing light bulbs.

The surrounding Gardevoir couldn't help but hold their breath. Although they knew that difficult births weren't an issue for them, seeing their sisters' children still made them a bit nervous, fearing any accidents.

Finally, after illuminating the entire room, the two eggs slowly transformed into the appearance of Ralts.

No, the largest one was not in the form of Ralts. What appeared before their eyes were two small blue bowl-cut heads.

However, one of them was in the form of a human infant boy, which greatly surprised the observing Gardevoir.

The petite Gardevoir lifted the infant boy, curiously examining his appearance.

"gardevoir! (Big Sister Gardevoir, he's a different color from us, and he looks different too! He has a small... Ouch!)"

The petite Gardevoir held the bowl-cut infant, observing him for a while, and excitedly shouted to her Big Sister Gardevoir.

However, she was hit by her Big Sister Gardevoir and instantly squatted down, covering her head.

Gardevoir Dajie (Big Sister Gardevoir) punched the petite Gardevoir to the ground, then her eyes glowed blue, and she somewhat helplessly caught the child and held him in her arms.

"Gardevoir (If you keep talking, you won't pass the review.)"

"Gardevoir (But he really...)"

"Gardevoir (Stop, don't say another word!)"

Seeing her Big Sister Gardevoir's left hand wreathed in flames, the petite Gardevoir made a zipping motion, indicating she wouldn't say anything more.

She then handed the other bowl-cut infant to its mother, and holding the two little ones, walked outside the treehouse. During this time, these two little ones had worried all the other little ones in the territory immensely.

The little ones who had just been peeking from the door were now obediently sitting outside, their eyes fixed on the human child in the two Gardevoir's hands.

The two Gardevoir walked onto the high platform where they usually held meetings, and facing the sunlight, they lifted one Ralts and the human child high into the air.

Their meaning was clear: these two little ones, once grown, would take their place.

The golden sunlight cascaded onto the children, as if dressing the two of them in a luxurious golden cloak.
