Chapter 61: Did you put something weird in there?

"Ah, finally done."

"Ah, thank you."

Officer Jenny, having finished everything, massaged her stiff lower back, thanked Yu Feng, and took the black tea he offered.

After taking a sip, she suddenly realized something. Hadn't she handcuffed Yu Feng and herself together? When did he make the black tea?

"You didn't put anything strange in it, did you?"

Officer Jenny looked at the teacup with a golden rim, curious about where it came from.

"Of course not, it's just a regular cup of black tea."

Yu Feng released his cup, let Indeedee refill the black tea, and then looked at Officer Jenny seriously.

"Alright, but we did find some things regarding your family."

Officer Jenny carefully examined the teacup in her hand but couldn't find anything unusual.

Giving up on her observation, Jenny told him the information they had found about Yu Feng's family.

"Really?"

Yu Feng raised an eyebrow. He hadn't held much hope, as his mother and Aunties were all tight-lipped and refused to reveal anything. But since Officer Jenny said so, it meant they must have found some useful information.

"Yes, this matter is a bit confidential. Let's go to the Police Station and find a place to talk."

Looking around, Officer Jenny indicated that this wasn't a suitable place to talk. The matter had some connection to the China Alliance and wasn't appropriate to discuss in public.

Seeing Officer Jenny's serious expression, which didn't seem feigned, Yu Feng agreed to go to the Police Station with her.

Sitting in the police car, Yu Feng had a strange feeling. As a law-abiding young man who had never committed a crime, this was his first time riding in a police car.

He felt nervous, as if he had committed a crime.

As the police car sped past the Cerulean Gym, Yu Feng seemed to catch a glimpse of his Lao Mei entering the Cerulean Gym with Ash. Of course, this had nothing to do with him for the time being.

"We're here. Come with me."

After getting out of the car, Officer Jenny led Yu Feng to the Police Station's lounge, asking him to wait there while she retrieved the investigated information from the archives.

Yu Feng wasn't in a hurry; ten years had already passed, so a little longer wouldn't matter.

Officer Jenny quickly returned from the archive room, placing several documents in front of Yu Feng and began to explain: "According to our investigation, your background is related to an Elite of the China Alliance. We don't have enough authority to investigate who exactly it is."

"An Elite? I don't think so. How could an Elite lose a child?"

Yu Feng picked up the documents Jenny gave him and read them carefully. After all, being an Elite's child sounded too outrageous.

"Based on the Poké Ball markings registered at the Pokémon Center, the markings on some of your Poké Balls are exclusive to a certain Elite, if we exclude the possibility that you merely picked up that Elite's Poké Balls."

Officer Jenny recalled Nurse Joy's shocked expression when she handed her this document, as it was an Elite's exclusive Poké Ball marking.

"Unfortunately, this is an Elite marking from the China region. We don't have the authority to access that information. We need the Jenny and Joy over there to investigate."

Officer Jenny briefly explained to Yu Feng why they couldn't directly identify which Elite it was: because it was an Elite's information from another region. They only knew the person was an Elite; the rest had to be investigated by the local Jenny and Joy.

"So that means if I want to know who it is, I have to go to the China region?"

Yu Feng was a bit surprised. While Jenny and her colleagues didn't know, didn't he? These Poké Balls were made by his mother. Since his mother could make them, it meant her relationship with that Elite was unusual, and perhaps that Elite was the father of him and his Lao Mei.

But then the question arose: how did an Elite allow his mother to return to the forest to give birth, and why hadn't he visited them for over a decade?

Given how often his mother missed his father, it was clearly not due to emotional issues.

So why hadn't he visited them for over a decade, not even once coming to the forest?

"Then I'll go to the China region right now."

Yu Feng eagerly prepared to leave. The Indigo Plateau Conference could wait; finding his father was far more important!

He even wanted to properly... condemn his father for capturing his mother's heart so thoroughly.

"Don't rush. Actually, you can finish the Indigo Plateau Conference before going to the China region." Jenny gestured for Yu Feng not to hurry, then explained the reason: "Even if you truly confirm that Elite is your father, you won't be able to meet him directly. He is an Elite, after all."

"The China region is different from other regions. You can only receive your first Pokémon at fifteen and choose to continue your studies or travel abroad at eighteen."

"At your age, you won't be able to directly participate in the China region's conferences. However, if you have a participation record from another region's conference, you can register to compete."

"If your ranking in the Indigo Plateau Conference is higher, you can even skip the preliminaries and enter the knockout rounds directly, which can save a lot of trouble."

"Once our sisters over there figure out which Elite it is, you can win the China region's conference and then challenge that Elite for a direct confrontation."

Officer Jenny's analysis dispelled Yu Feng's idea of going immediately. After all, Officer Jenny was right; he wouldn't be able to meet that Elite if he went now. Those Elites certainly wouldn't meet an unknown nobody like him.

As for Psychic abilities... surely no one would think an Elite wouldn't guard against that, right? Right?! Right?!

"Then it seems I can only finish the Indigo Plateau Conference first before going."

Yu Feng sighed. It seemed he could only follow Officer Jenny's advice: finish the Indigo Plateau Conference and go to the China Alliance with good results.

"We've only collected this much information for now. Later, you can specifically ask my sisters for updates, and they will tell you."

Officer Jenny gathered the documents she had finished reading, preparing to return them to the archive room later.

"Ahem, next are a few personal questions."

Officer Jenny coughed, her face full of smiles, and she mysteriously looked around.

"What kind of girls do you like? The sexy type? The cute type? Or the plump type?"

As Jenny spoke, she made sexy or cute gestures, and finally gestured twice in front of her chest, almost making Yu Feng lose control of his eyes.

"Ahem, I like them all, whether sexy or cute."

Looking at Officer Jenny's inquisitive gaze, Yu Feng felt unable to refuse her question. After thinking about his preferred type, he realized... he liked them all! So he was very honest. Although he preferred Gardevoir, that didn't mean Gardevoir couldn't be both sexy and cute, right?

"Yay, ahem, are you really ten years old?"

Officer Jenny subtly made a "plan complete" gesture, and seeing Yu Feng's eyes, she still somewhat awkwardly asked the question she was most concerned about.

"Yes, I am exactly ten years old this year."

This wasn't something that couldn't be said. After all, people should be honest. He was ten years old but had twenty years of battle experience—that's not too much to ask, right?!

Hearing Yu Feng's words, Officer Jenny couldn't help but turn pale, squatting in a corner and starting to draw circles.
