Chapter 6: Return to Blue Star

“And among them are infected people who have been bitten. To prevent the virus from leaking out, you’ve probably already controlled that escaped Licker to hunt them down, haven’t you?”

The Red Queen’s electronic eyes flickered twice: “How do you know this? Since you know there’s danger, why didn’t you warn them?”

“Heh heh.”

“I know many things you don’t.”

“Through the surveillance records, you should know that everything was caused by Spence breaking the T-virus. I want to know, what is the password to the box he took, containing the T-virus and the antiviral serum?”

Su Mu’s purpose in staying here alone was to ask for the box password.

Without the password, if he returned to Blue Star, he would have to drill it open with a power drill, but he was worried that the electronic password box might have an anti-violence self-destruct program, so getting the password was a more secure option.

The Red Queen, still thinking Su Mu was trying to save the bitten Rain, reminded him: “That woman has been infected for a long time; the antidote might not be effective.”

“That woman’s life or death has nothing to do with me. You just need to tell me the password, otherwise I’ll fry you right now.” Su Mu threatened, holding the jammer remote control in his hand.

“The password is 12188. Even if I tell you, it’s useless. You’re trapped here and can’t get out, can’t get…”

The Red Queen hadn’t finished speaking.

Su Mu’s hand suddenly held a long black backpack out of thin air.

The Red Queen once again experienced a rare stutter: “You… is this spatial technology?”

Su Mu ignored it and directly unzipped the backpack.

The next second, he involuntarily widened his eyes; the backpack actually contained five identical electronic password boxes.

Good heavens.

Spence emptied all the Hive’s inventory?

No wonder the backpack was so long and heavy.

This truly benefits me!

Su Mu smiled, picked up the topmost box, entered the password, and with a “click,” the electronic password box slowly opened.

The layout inside the password box was very neat:

In the middle was a metal injection gun, along with one blue and one green test tube. On each side of the box were six vertical slots, each holding six test tubes.

The ones on the right were blue test tubes; the ones on the left were green test tubes.

He knew the green test tubes were antiviral serum; the blue test tubes were the T-virus.

He picked up a green test tube, placed it into the injection gun’s slot, rolled up his sleeve, and injected it into his arm.

“You’re not infected, why are you injecting the antidote?” the Red Queen asked, puzzled.

“You also said that the T-virus changes with the environment and is almost impossible to eradicate.”

“Although the virus’s transmission method has changed from airborne to bloodborne, that doesn’t mean there’s no T-virus residue in the air.”

“I have so many antidotes, and I’ve been breathing in the Hive for so long. To be safe, is it hard to understand injecting a dose?”

As he spoke.

Su Mu put the injection gun back into the box, closed the password box, and stored it in his system storage space.

Immediately after, he took out the remaining electronic password boxes from the backpack and verified the password one by one.

After verifying each box, he placed it into his system storage space.

As expected, the password given by the Red Queen could open all the electronic password boxes.

The contents of the other boxes were identical to the first: an injection gun, seven T-virus test tubes, and seven antiviral serum test tubes.

The Red Queen looked at the empty black backpack on the ground, finding it extremely difficult to comprehend: “What kind of method is this, exactly?”

Su Mu didn’t speak, directly pressing the button on the jammer in his hand.

“Zzzzz.”

The Red Queen’s host emitted a pungent burning smell.

The server room, and indeed the entire Hive base, plunged into darkness once more.

A few seconds later, the emergency lights came back on.

Actually, he had considered taking the Red Queen with him, but he thought about how its programming was to serve the Umbrella Corporation and protect humanity, and he didn't have a host to run the Red Queen's mainboard, so he gave up on the idea.

More importantly, he had a system Mall that allowed him to buy any item.

When he accumulated enough evolution points to afford the equipment to run the Red Queen, would he still lack an AI like the Red Queen?

Absolutely not.

So, he chose to burn it.

Of course, it was only burned.

He did not remove the already charred Red Queen mainboard and completely destroy it.

After all, the Red Queen’s actions of sealing off the Hive and isolating the infected were correct; there was no need to be too ruthless.

Su Mu knew that if he didn't destroy the Red Queen’s mainboard, the Umbrella Corporation would send people to repair the Red Queen, and then they would discover his existence through the surveillance records.

But so what?

The other party didn't have the ability to cross dimensions to catch him.

When he could easily spend ten thousand evolution points to re-enter this world,

Would he still fear a small Umbrella Corporation?

Having completed all of this, he put his pistol into the system storage space and then silently said in his mind: “System, return.”

In an instant, Su Mu’s figure disappeared from the server room.

What he didn’t know was that

James, Danilova, and the other two task force members, whom he had saved and who were originally supposed to die in the laser corridor,

Ultimately could not escape their fate of death.

After the Hive plunged into darkness, they were killed by the Lickers’ sharp claws in the shadows.

Spence, bitten by a zombie and having regained his memory, ran to the back of the train. When he saw that the backpack containing the antidote was gone, he fell into despair and chose to stand still and be killed by a Licker.

Rain, severely infected, chose to confront the Licker head-on, buying time for her teammates to escape.

Alice, Matt, and Kaplan took advantage of this interval to board the escaping train.

As for the outcome, still only Alice and the scratched Matt escaped to the mansion on the surface… “Ouch, damn it.”

Su Mu, who had just returned from the Resident Evil world, fell from a meter high in the air without warning, landing on the ground.

He grimaced, got up, rubbed his butt, and looked around, only to realize he was in the green belt next to a car accident scene.

His delivery motorcycle was lying on the side of the road in the green belt, its body dented and deformed from the collision.

The headlight was completely shattered, and glass fragments were scattered everywhere.

Several takeout bags were spilled nearby, their soup leaking all over the ground.

The large vehicle that caused the accident was long gone.

Clearly, the driver had thrown the motorcycle and takeout to the roadside and fled because they couldn’t find him.

Su Mu guessed that the driver ran because he couldn’t find him.

Looking at the extent of the motorcycle’s damage, he clutched his chest, a wave of fear washing over him.

If the system hadn’t sent him to the Resident Evil world, he probably would have been hit and killed directly.

Even if he didn't die, if he were in a half-dead state, he had no doubt that the truck driver would drag him to the roadside and repeatedly run him over until he died.

Because there was no surveillance here.

Killing someone was easier to handle than crippling someone, after all, there was insurance compensation.

He searched around and found his phone with a broken screen in the green belt.

Fortunately, it was still barely usable.

He checked the time; it was already 2 AM, about an hour after he had driven onto this road.

This was roughly the same amount of time he had spent in the Resident Evil world.
