Chapter 29: Give me a taste

“Alright, Kaguya, Hayasaka, both of you go back and rest. This is Kagarino Kirieda, my guest, and she will probably be staying here from now on.”

To prevent Kaguya Shinomiya from discovering Hayasaka Ai’s little secret with him, Su Rui spoke first, interrupting Kagarino Kirieda before she could say anything more shocking, then winked at Hayasaka Ai.

“Let’s go, Kaguya Shinomiya, you worked hard at school today. It’s time for us to get some good rest.”

“Mm.” Kaguya Shinomiya nodded, her ruby-like eyes glancing at Kagarino Kirieda. She nodded to her, but didn’t ask anything further, merely expressing her welcome: “Hello, I am Su Rui’s fiancée. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“Oh? Likewise.”

Kagarino Kirieda looked at Kaguya Shinomiya in surprise, then nodded to her.

Subsequently, Hayasaka Ai, who was already sweating and whose heart was pounding, led Kaguya Shinomiya upstairs, leaving Su Rui and Kagarino Kirieda downstairs.

“I didn’t expect you to have such a hobby~ Not targeting your fiancée, but going for her maid instead? What kind of twisted taste is that?”

Kagarino Kirieda leaned close to Su Rui and whispered, her tone carrying a hint of schadenfreude and mockery. Su Rui looked down at her, only to find that, at some point, her crimson eyes had turned blue.

“Don’t be so surprised. Under normal circumstances, I conceal my Vampire characteristics.”

“Is that necessary?” Su Rui glanced in the direction of upstairs. Kaguya Shinomiya’s red eyes also didn’t make anyone suspect her of being a Vampire.

“Alright, don’t change the subject.” Kagarino Kirieda moved closer to Su Rui, gently bumping him with her shoulder: “It seems you prefer that maid. Are you not interested in your fiancée instead?”

“Of course not. They, including you, are all mine.”

Su Rui said casually, putting his arm around Kagarino Kirieda’s waist, then directly picked her up and walked outside. There were too many servants in the castle, which made it inconvenient for him and Kagarino Kirieda to communicate.

“As a cultivator, I naturally won’t age. Although I do have desires, compared to power, they are not that important.”

Kagarino Kirieda pouted. If that’s the case, why does that maid have such a strong scent of you on her?

However, Kagarino Kirieda didn’t ask, because she felt that being so direct might make Su Rui a little unhappy.

“But I also have normal desires, do you understand?” Su Rui tightened his arm around Kagarino Kirieda’s waist, emphasizing his tone: “I just exercise restraint, and also, I’m not that promiscuous.”

“If what you call ‘not that promiscuous’ means loving everyone you see, then anyone on the street could claim to be devoted.”

“I am open and honest. At least I haven’t hidden anything, and I take responsibility.”

Su Rui was unconcerned by Kagarino Kirieda’s accusation, admitting it very frankly: “Since you are willing to stay, go pick an unoccupied room for yourself later. Don’t try any tricks.”

After Su Rui finished speaking, he left Kagarino Kirieda in the courtyard outside, then gave a few instructions to a passing maid, asking her to arrange Kagarino Kirieda’s accommodation.

Upstairs, Hayasaka Ai and Kaguya Shinomiya had no homework to do because of the unexpected events at school today. The two girls were playing on their phones and chatting in Kaguya Shinomiya’s bedroom.

“Kaguya Shinomiya, you should do it this way.”

Hayasaka Ai looked at Kaguya Shinomiya’s clumsy operation and, somewhat helplessly, guided her on how to use her smartphone.

Because Japan’s IT industry is so backward that almost all processes that could be completed online are forcibly made offline, and even now, flip phones are still very popular among some young people.

Japanese people’s acceptance of new electronic products is actually not as high as people think.

Kaguya Shinomiya is an example, or rather, a microcosm. Even her current clumsy use of a smartphone was only learned after Hayasaka Ai had taught her for some time.

“I wonder who that girl Su Rui brought back is? She doesn’t seem like Yotsuya Miko, who would only stay here for one night and then leave.”

Kaguya Shinomiya pondered with some distress. Beside her, Hayasaka Ai, holding her phone, couldn’t help but show a deadpan expression: ‘Kaguya Shinomiya, you are truly too naive.’

Based on Hayasaka Ai’s understanding of Su Rui, Yotsuya Miko was only temporarily leaving, and would definitely move back into this castle later to become a part of this family.

As for the girl named Kagarino Kirieda, she was very dangerous. Moreover, Hayasaka Ai was somewhat worried that she might tell Kaguya Shinomiya about her and Su Rui’s affairs.

‘This absolutely cannot happen!’

Although she had Su Rui’s backing and no longer needed to worry about Kaguya Shinomiya getting angry over this matter, Hayasaka Ai still cherished her friendship with Kaguya Shinomiya and didn’t want her good friend to fall out with her like this.

So, Hayasaka Ai decided to do something sneaky. She quietly leaned close to Kaguya Shinomiya’s ear and whispered:

“The other party seems to be someone who is very good at fabricating lies and sowing discord, Kaguya Shinomiya. You must be careful of her tricks.”

“Mm, I know, Hayasaka. You should also be careful.”

Kaguya Shinomiya nodded. Out of trust in her maid, she didn’t suspect Hayasaka Ai of having ulterior motives. Due to her lack of physiological knowledge, she actually hadn’t understood the meaning of Kagarino Kirieda’s previous statement.

“Understood.”

Hayasaka Ai immediately breathed a sigh of relief, picked up her phone to relax again, and began to casually chat with Kaguya Shinomiya.

Kagarino Kirieda did not appear at dinner. Kaguya Shinomiya looked around with some confusion, then looked at Su Rui, who was sitting beside her:

“Is Miss Kagarino Kirieda not coming?”

“Don’t worry about her. She won’t starve to death.”

Su Rui glanced at the empty seat, not caring. Vampires should be able to eat normal human food, right? However, human blood probably had the best replenishing effect on her.

Perhaps that was why Kagarino Kirieda hadn’t appeared?

After dinner, a somewhat curious Su Rui found Kagarino Kirieda at the top of the castle. Looking at the slender girl leaning against the castle spire, he casually asked:

“You didn’t eat dinner. Is it because you can’t eat human food?”

“I can certainly taste those delicacies, but I am waiting for a dinner more suitable for me.”

Kagarino Kirieda looked at Su Rui. Under the illumination of the pure white moonlight, her crimson eyes were particularly striking.

The girl licked her moist red lips and slowly walked towards Su Rui:

“Can you let me taste your blood?”
