Chapter 4: 4 fate turns

Chapter 4 4. Destiny Turns

"Enemy attack!"

Flannais fell to the ground on top of the White Lion Guards. Two White Lion Guards rushed towards Flannais with axes in hand.

A harpoon cut through the air and pierced directly through the neck of a White Lion Guard.

Daxus stared in amazement at the White Lion Guard with blood spurting from his neck, then looked at the harpoon crossbow in his hand, and began to doubt his life.

"Is it so outrageous? Can you even shoot this?"

The Druzic soldiers began to gather around, shouting, "Druzi! Spear and shield!"

The Black Ark pirate held a crossbow in one hand and a sea dragon cloak in front of him with the other, and launched a charge.

After the four beast tamers fired their harpoon crossbows, they hid behind the charging Dread Spearmen and Gloomy Swordsmen to reload and follow.

The Black Sharp Crossbowmen were also in the formation, holding shields and crossbows and advancing forward to suppress the fire.

Alyssa manipulated the Wind of Gul and summoned a scorching amber spear, which pierced the body of the White Lion Guard. The White Lion Guard looked down at the big hole in his chest and fell down in disbelief.

The Black Ark pirates' crossbows shot down a large number of them, and the remaining few Asurs holding giant axes tried to launch a desperate charge, and the archers also tried to fight back.

Unfortunately, when the sixth round of arrow rain came, there was no Asur left standing on the field.

Some of them were injured and lying on the ground but not dead. They struggled to take out a dagger and stabbed it into their hearts or cut their throats, choosing to end their lives.

Those who lacked social experience or were unable to end their lives on their own suffered a miserable fate. These poor little ones were mercilessly tortured by Drucci. The cruel laughter of the torturer and the screams of the victims mixed together to form a symphony of pain and cruelty.

Dacus ignored them and quickly ran to Franais, turned him over, and tried to unhook the buckles on his shoulders. Ryan and Alyssa also ran over to help.

Darkus roared, "Stop playing around!" He then said to the four animal trainers, "Go skin those white lions." He then said to the Black Ark pirates, "A few of you take off your cloaks and use your spears as stretchers. The rest of you clean up the battlefield."

Under Edmund's command, the soldiers began to move, beheading, removing armor, collecting weapons and skinning. Several soldiers worked together to put the weakly breathing Franais on a stretcher. The fragments on his chest and shoulders had been cleaned out and sprinkled with powder.

Just then, the harsh, hoarse crows of crows rose from the woods. Darkius looked in the direction of the sound and was startled. He saw a figure, a hunched old woman, wearing a hood and ragged clothes, carrying a ragged bag and leaning on a wooden stick. Darkius couldn't see her face, but he was certain she was staring at him.

The other soldiers also heard the sound and looked over, and the scene was silent for a moment.

Dacus shouted in disbelief, "Hey! Old lady!"

The old woman was obviously stunned for a moment, and then disappeared out of thin air.

"What the hell? Am I dazzled?"

"Kane is on top!"

"Could it be the Soul Keeper?"

"No way!"

Dacus exchanged a glance with several nearby Druzis and asked in confusion, "Did you all see it?"

"My Lord, I see!"

Alyssa said affirmatively: "Yes, the 'Prophecy Weaver' Molayig Heg, that's right!"

Dacreus shrugged nonchalantly and said, "Should I say, 'Asuryan's fire!' to express shock?"

Ryan and Alyssa stopped what they were doing and looked at Daquus in bewilderment. Ryan then looked at Alyssa and said, "Sister, has our fate been rewritten?" Alyssa shook her head and said, "I don't know. My Lord, thank you for coming today." She then prostrated herself on the ground in a deep salute.

Dacus stopped her and said with a smirk, "It's strange. It feels like I received some kind of omen today. Maybe it really is fate's guidance."

Centurion Edmund began shouting orders to the soldiers again and continued working.

The battlefield was basically cleaned up, and a few soldiers still wanted to peel off the skins of the Asur cousins, because this thing was a scarce commodity for Druzy.

Dacus said to Edmund: "Don't leave any traces. We should retreat."

Then the group returned the same way, carrying Franais and the spoils.

When he reached the sea cliff and saw the soldiers still on guard, Dacus breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, there was no accident.

The crew and the remaining soldiers began to disembark, pulling the ropes to pull the three-masted barque out. The soldiers who climbed down from the cliff also joined the ranks. The sailors on the ship were adjusting the sails. After all, this three-masted Druch plundering ship was just an ordinary standard product of the Cracalund Shipyard, without any magical magic or engine.

Darkus stood on the cliff and watched all this, sighing: "What a bunch of old sea dogs."

In the cabin, Flanais lay on the bed, breathing weakly. Alyssa sat at the head of the bed and cleaned the wound again.

Ryan said to Daquus, "Sir, thank you so much today."

Daxus leaned against the head of the bed, folded his arms and looked at Franais, and said indifferently: "Sister, I think I told you? Take good care of your brother." After that, he went out.

Back in his cabin, Dacus was about to remove his plate armor when a crow gracefully flew to the porthole and tilted its head to look at him.

Darkius paused and looked at the crow.

"You don't belong here." An old female voice sounded in Daxu's mind.

Dacus wasn't surprised at all. After all, something as outrageous as traveling through time had already happened. Besides, this place was filled with powerful beings, so anything outrageous that happened to him wasn't outrageous.

Darkeus thought to himself, "Asuryan's fire! What's the matter? I thought you could rescue me. I'd be so grateful to you."

"Fate has changed, and there is a glimmer of opportunity in you!"

Darkus looked at the crow in his mind with disdain and said, "What are you talking about? Can I put an end to the end? What is your relationship with Lilith?"

"I'm not familiar with you. I can't predict your future. Your fate is unpredictable."

"My old lady, let's be practical."

"I have given you my blessing."

Darkeus thought of the legends, about elven archers who worshipped Morayg Hg, believing that ravens would guide their arrows to their enemies. Then he thought of the harpoon he'd used before, how a casual shot from long range could actually hit a running object, or even its neck. Was he playing Mount & Blade?

"Oh, my dear grandmother, what is the price?"

The crow ignored him, turned its head and glared at him before flying away. Darkus called out several times in his mind, "Hello, grandma? Dear grandma? Old lady? Okay, bye!"

"Really? You have no manners at all."
