The next morning.
Renye lay on the bed, looking exhausted. He had a dream last night.
In his dream, he found himself in a laboratory, lying on a cold dissection table, with various biological specimens and jars on the surrounding shelves.
He tried to get up from the bed, but his body couldn't move an inch, so he could only watch silently.
"What was that dream?" Renye muttered to himself, "Could it be the golden finger of transmigration?"
Thinking of this, his face showed excitement.
If it was a golden finger, that would be awesome!
As a transmigrator, it would be a bit shabby without a golden finger.
Renye quickly calmed down. A dream couldn't represent anything.
What if it wasn't? Wouldn't he be happy for nothing?
He planned to observe for a while to see if he could continue to dream about it. If he could, it wouldn't be too late to start researching.
Thinking so, he turned over, got out of bed, and walked out of the room.
After wandering around the yard, he didn't find Senju Tobirama, so he speculated that he should have gone to the Hokage Office to help Senju Hashirama process documents.
So, he went to the Shuriken throwing ground in the corner of the yard.
The ground was a regular circle, about twenty meters in diameter.
In the center, stood a row of meticulously crafted wooden targets.
These targets were about one person tall, made of thick wood, with striking concentric circles painted on their surface, from the red dot in the center outwards, followed by orange, yellow, blue, and other different colored rings.
On one side of the ground, a simple wooden shed was built.
Inside the shed, there was a wooden table and several chairs. Various types of Shuriken, triangular and cross-shaped, were neatly arranged on the table.
On the shelf by the wall, protective gear was hanging, including gloves, wrist guards, and chest protectors.
"As expected of Senju Tobirama, he's really rich!" Renye exclaimed.
With his previous living expenses, he could only afford food and drink, and had no spare money to buy Shuriken, let alone train in Shuriken throwing.
Looking at the Shuriken on the table, Renye felt a surge of desire.
Although he really wanted to start Shuriken training now, these things weren't his, and he absolutely couldn't use them without permission; he still needed to get Senju Tobirama's consent.
After watching for a while, Renye decisively withdrew his gaze and began physical training.
His body was still small, so he didn't train too hard, only doing some simple bodyweight exercises, such as push-ups, squats, and pull-ups, to improve the strength of his chest, legs, and arms.
These strength trainings are crucial for a Ninja to maintain body stability and explosiveness when performing missions.
By the time Renye finished training, it was almost noon.
He lay on the ground to rest for a while, then dragged his tired body to the kitchen, preparing to start making lunch.
Renye didn't know if Senju Tobirama would come back for lunch, but he still planned to make enough for two people.
It's worth mentioning that the portion Renye made for himself was particularly large, twice what he ate last night.
Every time Renye did physical training, he would become especially hungry.
He was quite happy about this, as eating a lot meant high consumption, indicating that the training was effective!
Moreover, sufficient food intake helped him gain muscle, enhance endurance, and improve his body's recovery ability.
Since there weren't many ingredients at home, Renye made a simple meal: Mapo Tofu and Kung Pao Chicken. Both dishes were still extremely spicy.
"Hehe, still a small bowl of rice!"
Renye brought a basin of rice, took out a bowl, filled it, and placed it opposite him, then began to feast from the basin.
As for that small bowl of rice, it was naturally left for Senju Tobirama.
As a Chinese person in his previous life, Renye was not used to Japanese food culture; he preferred Chinese food.
Since Senju Tobirama didn't like spicy food, he would make a table full of spicy dishes.
Just then, Senju Tobirama returned.
As soon as he walked into the yard, he smelled a rich aroma.
He looked at the house in surprise, muttering, "So fragrant... What did that kid make?"
Only then did Senju Tobirama realize that Renye hadn't been bragging; he really could cook.
He subconsciously swallowed, and quickly walked into the house.
"White-haired Old Man, you're back." Renye greeted him, continuing to devour his food.
Senju Tobirama didn't waste words, sitting down at the table, where two tempting dishes were placed before him—Mapo Tofu and Kung Pao Chicken.
The tender white tofu was immersed in bright red chili oil, dotted with peppercorns and green chopped scallions, and a strong spicy aroma wafted into his nostrils.
Kung Pao Chicken was the same; the golden-orange chicken pieces were cleverly paired with vibrant red chili peppers and tender green scallion segments, emitting an irresistible sweet and spicy aroma.
He first picked up a chopstick full of Mapo Tofu. The moment it entered his mouth, the hot temperature, accompanied by an intense numbing spice, instantly exploded on his tongue.
"Hiss, hiss!"
Senju Tobirama wasn't good at eating spicy food, but he was still conquered by the Mapo Tofu.
Immediately after, he tasted the Kung Pao Chicken. The tenderness of the chicken, the crispness of the peanuts, and the heat of the chili peppers blended perfectly, creating a rich texture that gave him an unprecedented taste experience.
This taste was simply too delicious!
"White-haired Old Man, don't just eat the dishes, it tastes better with rice!" Renye reminded him.
Hearing this, Senju Tobirama pretended to be calm as he picked up his rice, and, imitating Renye, scooped a spoonful of Mapo Tofu. The red oil flowed down the spoon, coating the rice.
Chewing it in his mouth, the spiciness of the tofu and the sweetness of the rice made every bite intoxicating.
He ate bite after bite, immersed in the satisfaction brought by the delicious food, completely unconcerned about sweating profusely from the spice.
Senju Tobirama closed his eyes in enjoyment, seemingly savoring the taste of these two dishes.
Even he had never tasted such delicious food before.
This kid's cooking really is impeccable!
It seemed that adopting him wasn't so hard to accept after all.
"Hey, Old Man, stop sitting around foolishly. Go wash the dishes when you're done!" Renye burped, urging him.
Senju Tobirama came back to his senses and obediently picked up his bowl and chopsticks, heading to the kitchen.
Renye was a bit surprised, not expecting this Old Man to be so agreeable.
He didn't know that Renye had successfully conquered his stomach.
The fact that Senju Tobirama, who never ate spicy food, finished these two extremely spicy dishes, was enough to show Renye's cooking skills.
Soon, Senju Tobirama came out of the kitchen, his gaze falling on Renye, but quickly shifting away.
Renye seemed to see approval in Senju Tobirama's eyes...
He shook his head, throwing that thought out of his mind.
Senju Tobirama approving of him? What a joke.
Renye remembered the training ground and tentatively said, "White-haired Old Man, can I use the training ground in the yard?"
"Use it if you want to." Senju Tobirama didn't react much.
Renye was somewhat delighted, sighing in his heart: 【This Old Man is quite easy to talk to...】
"I have things to do," Senju Tobirama said, then turned to leave.
Just as he reached the door, he seemed to remember something, stopped, and turned to look at Renye:
"Kid, remember to cook more rice tonight."
Renye: "???"
