Chapter 6: Shuriken Throwing

After Senju Tobirama left, Renye rested briefly, then eagerly headed to the training ground.

This was his first time practicing Shuriken throwing, and he couldn't help but feel a little excited.

In the Ninja World, Shuriken are common weapons for Ninja, and throwing Shuriken can attack enemies from a distance, making them very suitable for sneak attacks and assassinations, capable of delivering a fatal blow to an enemy silently.

To put it bluntly, why engage in close-quarters combat when you can kill enemies with long-range attacks?

If you can ambush, then ambush. The ultimate goal is to eliminate the enemy.

Renye anticipated that when his throwing technique reached mastery, he would be able to take down an opponent with a single Shuriken on the battlefield. The thought alone made his blood boil!

Renye took a deep breath, calming himself down.

Then, he slowly raised his arm, leaned back slightly, and after adjusting his posture, threw the Shuriken with all his might.

For his first training session, he hoped for a good start.

His demands weren't high; hitting the target would suffice, regardless of the score.

However, ideals are grand, but reality is harsh.

The Shuriken flew in a crooked arc through the air before embedding itself in the open ground not far in front of the target.

Not only did it miss the bullseye, but it didn't even hit the target.

The smile on Renye's face instantly froze, his small face flushed red, and his heart felt as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over it.

He instinctively looked around and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw no one.

Thankfully, no one saw it, or it would have been too embarrassing.

He then picked up another Shuriken and started throwing again.

Time after time, the Shuriken either missed the bullseye or simply fell halfway.

Renye's forehead was covered in sweat, and his arms ached from the repeated throwing, but he still didn't give up.

In this perilous Ninja World, one's own strength is always the most important thing!

He wasn't like other transmigrators who had systems; he could only rely on his continuous efforts to grow stronger. To become stronger, he had to persist in rigorous training.

Renye was actually very glad that his identity was Uchiha. The Uchiha Clan, whether in terms of Chakra volume, Ninjutsu talent, or combat talent, was much stronger than other clans, and they also possessed a Bloodline Limit like the Sharingan.

Aside from the Uzumaki and Senju, no other clan could compare to the Uchiha.

If he had transmigrated into a Ninja from an ordinary clan, that would have been a truly disastrous start, with nowhere to cry.

After all, the talent ceiling for ordinary clan Ninja was set; no matter how much they tried, they would only reach a certain level, at most Jonin level.

Talent determines the upper limit, effort determines the lower limit.

Hmm... those few in green jumpsuits who can use the Eight Inner Gates are exceptions.

After an unknown amount of attempts, Renye stood still again, took a deep breath, and calmed his mind.

This time, his eyes were exceptionally firm, and the Shuriken in his hand seemed to merge with him.

After repeated practice, he seemed to have found the feeling.

With a 'swish,' the Shuriken drew a perfect straight line in the air, firmly embedding itself in the target, directly hitting the red bullseye.

"I finally succeeded!"

Renye plopped down onto the ground, feeling a sharp ache in his arms, as if reminding him of the high-intensity training he had just endured.

Sweat beaded on his forehead, rolling down his cheeks to his chin, and dripping onto the ground.

Despite his physical exhaustion, he couldn't help but smile as he looked at the Shuriken embedded in the bullseye.

Seeing that it was getting dark, Renye, after a short rest, stood up to collect the scattered Shuriken and put them back in their original places.

After doing all this, he dragged his tired body back to his room. His clothes were soaked with sweat, and he needed a good cold shower to relieve the fatigue from training.

The afternoon training made Renye realize that Shuriken throwing could not be mastered overnight.

This was just a simple stationary target; in combat, enemies wouldn't foolishly stand still.

"First, I'll master the stationary target," Renye mused about his future training plan.

Uchiha Madara's defection hadn't been long ago, so the Valley of the End battle wouldn't happen anytime soon.

And Senju Hashirama seemed to have passed away a few years after defeating Madara.

Renye speculated that Senju Hashirama must have suffered very severe injuries in his battle with Uchiha Madara, which led to his death...

The First Ninja War broke out about seventeen years after Konoha was established, which meant Renye still had ten years to develop.

"Ten years doesn't seem like enough..." Renye clenched his fists, muttering to himself.

Becoming strong within ten years was almost impossible.

Renye would only be sixteen years old in ten years. He wasn't a cheat like Naruto and Sasuke, so improving his strength would be very difficult.

"Unless I awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan!" Renye's eyes flickered.

But he quickly calmed down again. Forget about the Mangekyo for now; he hadn't even activated a single tomoe yet.

Thinking of this, Renye sighed helplessly, "Never mind, let's eat first."

So he headed to the kitchen and started making dinner for the day.

Because of Senju Tobirama's request that morning, he specifically cooked extra rice, two large bowls full.

The dishes were still Mapo Tofu and Kung Pao Chicken.

He actually wanted to make other dishes, but the only ingredients he had at home were these.

He would just have to ask Senju Tobirama to buy some later...

Just as Renye brought the dishes to the table, Senju Tobirama returned right on time.

He looked at the four plates of dishes on the table and nodded subtly.

Good, they were his favorite dishes.

This time, Renye divided the dishes into two portions, one for him and one for Senju Tobirama.

His reason was that he was a germaphobe and didn't like eating from the same plate as others.

Senju Tobirama was quite pleased about this. This Old Man was quite sensible.

He naturally also didn't like eating from the same plate as a member of the Uchiha Clan.

At the dining table, neither of them spoke.

Of course, the Uchiha and Senju had no common topics, and neither of them was willing to initiate conversation.

After the meal, Senju Tobirama took his bowls and chopsticks to the kitchen.

"Old Man, there are no ingredients left at home," Renye reminded him.

Although Mapo Tofu and Kung Pao Chicken tasted good, he couldn't eat them for every meal!

Senju Tobirama paused his dishwashing, remained silent for a moment, then said, "I'll buy some tomorrow... What ingredients do you want?"

"Whatever," Renye stood up, stretched, and said, "I'm going back to my room."

Seeing Renye about to leave, Senju Tobirama quickly came out of the kitchen with a glass of milk. "Drink your milk before you go back."

Renye was a bit surprised. He was sending him milk again?

He didn't expect this Old Man to be so thoughtful, knowing he was still growing.

He took the milk and drank it in one gulp, then returned to his room.

After training all day, his body was very tired, and he needed a good night's sleep.

Senju Tobirama looked at the empty glass, a slight smile playing on his lips.
