Chapter 74: fat cat tuantuan

Fat Cat Tuan Tuan is a male cat.

To be precise, he is a plump male cat with yellow and white stripes and a pair of sea-blue eyes.

More importantly, he is a Spirit Cat.

Spirit Cats and Demon Cats have no essential difference, except that Spirit Cats are more friendly to wizards.

Fat Cat Tuan Tuan's daily life is simple and comfortable.

His favorite thing to do is, after gnawing on a plump chicken leg roasted to a golden, oily crisp, lazily stretch out and purr, half-asleep on the windowsill.

Occasionally, when he is in the mood, he doesn't mind shaking his plump body, taking small, measured steps, and strolling along the windows and rooftops to have deep and friendly exchanges with his un-enlightened female counterparts.

As a Spirit Cat with wide-ranging interests, he doesn't mind the growing girls in the academy stimulating his sense of smell with their fragrant bodies.

However, as a noble Spirit Cat, he cannot tolerate new students playing three-legged cat tricks and acting wild in front of him, a genuine four-legged cat.

Right now, he was facing such a challenge.

Several new students had come to the balcony.

This kind of thing was common, and Fat Cat Tuan Tuan didn't pay it much mind; usually, these tender greenhorns would exclaim a few times, lament a bit, and then retreat to their dorms to do what every new student should do.

But these new students were a bit different.

"Are they treating me like those un-enlightened wild cats?" Fat Cat Tuan Tuan angrily stroked his whiskers, narrowing his blue eyes.

Before his eyes, a small fish folded from talisman paper was shaking its tail and swimming in the air, lifelike.

"They made a fake fish? How outrageous!" Squinting his eyes, Fat Cat Tuan Tuan glanced at the little fish swaying before him and rubbed his whiskers, somewhat troubled: "What should I do?"

"They're not falling for it! What should we do?" On the balcony, several new students were also troubled by this problem.

"How about trying chicken legs?" Xin Fatty seemed to have thought of something and took out a USB drive, looking a bit pained.

"Cats should eat fish," Zheng Qing muttered, somewhat dejectedly putting away the small fish he had painstakingly made from talisman paper.

Xin Fatty inserted the USB drive into his large watch, casually pressed a few buttons, and a virtual screen leaped out of thin air, suddenly appearing before everyone.

"What is this?" Zheng Qing looked at the screen curiously.

"It's a storage space from the Qiankun 5.03 series," Xiao Xiao, standing nearby, explained obligingly, "It's the popular fifth-generation storage technology, created by combining advanced magic like virtual manifestation and multi-dimensional superposition with traditional Alchemy techniques like spatial mustard seeds. It's easy to use, convenient to carry, and adapts to the development of the White Dings World, so it has been very popular in recent years."

Xin Fatty nodded, poking the air a few times.

The virtual screen displayed five folders: 'Clothes', 'Food', 'Living', 'Travel', and 'Utilities'.

Then the Fatty opened the folder named "Food," found the 'Favorites' category in the sub-directory, then found the 'Most Favorite' item within that, and finally, from a long list, located the file named 'Chicken Legs'.

Upon clicking, pictures of five chicken legs quietly floated into the air.

"Oh, exactly five," Dylan said, leaning close to Xin Fatty's ear with a grin, as if afraid he wouldn't hear.

Glaring fiercely at the Vampire Werewolf, Xin Fatty gritted his teeth, selected all of them with a pained expression, and chose to manifest.

Xiao Xiao, who had been silent, promptly pulled out a large plate and placed it beneath the chicken leg images.

Pale blue light appeared above the plate, quickly outlining the shape of five chicken legs, and with a few flashes, five steaming hot chicken legs appeared on the plate in the Fatty's hand; rich gravy rolled down the tender skin and meat, as if they had just been taken out of the pot.

The steaming aroma wafted over them.

"Too... too amazing!" Zheng Qing sighed for a long time, finally managing to squeeze out a compliment.

"Hmph, that's nothing!" The Fatty, both proud and pained, lifted the plate.

Zheng Qing politely chose the smallest one, then held it up and examined it for a long time, not daring to take a bite.

"These are specialties from my hometown," Xin Fatty licked his tongue and fiercely handed a chicken leg to Xiao Xiao: "You guys are getting off too easy."

"Ugh," Dylan frowned, looking troubled at the three chicken legs remaining on the plate.

"You don't like eating chicken legs, do you?" Xin Fatty's face lit up with eagerness, then he suddenly realized and laughed heartily: "I forgot, Vampires and such can't eat these things."

"But Werewolves and such don't have this problem," Dylan quickly snatched a chicken leg, threw it into his mouth, and in the blink of an eye, ate it clean, spitting out a smooth chicken bone with a 'plop'.

The smooth, slender chicken bone fell onto the plate in the Fatty's hand, making a clinking sound.

Dylan's lips were stained with gravy; he chewed the chicken while smirking: "I was just agonizing over whether to pick the one with the most meat or the one with the most tendons."

Xin Fatty's face darkened, and he squeezed onto the balcony without a word.

The plump Flower Cat had none of its previous lazy demeanor; it darted onto the balcony like lightning, its two paws firmly pressing down on a chicken leg.

Xin Fatty immediately forgot about the plate, spread his five fingers to grab the last one, and quickly shoved it into his mouth.

One cat, one person, two plump, distorted faces chewed, gasped, and glared fiercely at each other.

"A big flat face, two dead fish eyes," Xin Fatty spat out the clean chicken bone from his mouth with a 'plop', fiercely rubbed the Flower Cat's plump face, and grumbled indignantly: "Not cute at all!"

The Fat Cat let out two 'ao ao' grunts, its cheeks still patiently chewing.

"How did you know he likes chicken legs?" Zheng Qing dropped the chicken bone in his hand, licked the flavor from his lips, and looked at the one person and one cat who had already moved to the table but were still glaring at each other, asking curiously.

"Who cares what he likes!" Xin Fatty was still heartbroken, and upon hearing this, he became furious: "My favorite thing, would anyone dislike it?"

"I don't like it," Dylan said slowly.

"You are not a person!" Xin extended his plump index finger and waved it disdainfully: "Besides, the one who ate the fastest has no right to speak!"

"But that's a cat, isn't it?" Zheng Qing corrected.

"Do you think something that likes chicken legs would be a cat?" The Fatty said righteously.

Zheng Qing nodded, then shook his head, always feeling that something was off.

The Fat Cat twitched his ears, lazily stretched his body, and cocked his tail, like a lord carrying a flag, he patrolled the dormitory once, finally choosing a comfortable nook on the windowsill, and nestled in securely.

He felt there was a strange smell in this dormitory, not pleasant, nor unpleasant, just strange.

"Strange!" He stroked his oily whiskers, shaking his head, resisting the immense curiosity that arose in his heart: "Tsk tsk, curiosity kills the cat."

However, given that these tender newcomers had some 'grease' to them, he didn't mind staying for a while.

Licking his plump paws, Fat Cat Tuan Tuan purred contentedly, finding a very suitable excuse for himself.

"Are we sleeping on bare boards?" Zheng Qing, who had chosen his bed, asked hesitantly, touching the cold wooden board.

"Didn't you bring your own bedding?" Xiao Xiao, standing nearby, adjusted his glasses, surprised.

"Of course I did." Zheng Qing's face flushed slightly, and he quickly pulled out his small gray bag.

"The school will provide you with some things, but they definitely won't be as comfortable as home." Dylan's figure flickered, and the next moment he was already squatting on his bed. He smiled and looked at the others, then pulled open the scarlet curtains on his bed with a whoosh; a dark green, ancient and heavy coffin lay steadily on his bed space.

Xiao Xiao's face turned pale.

"I also added some stuff myself; the school only gives you a mattress." Xin patted his bulging bed with satisfaction, and lay down on it with a feeling, the wooden bed immediately let out a heavy sigh.

Zheng Qing looked at his trembling bed with melancholy, and sighed deeply.

The chubby Fat Cat on the windowsill, squinting his eyes, lazily rubbing his whiskers, watched the messy dormitory with amusement.

It was already very late after tidying up the beds.

Laying his coarse linen bedsheet from home on the thick mattress, Zheng Qing flopped onto it, pulled over the cotton quilt he brought from home, and took a deep breath; the rich scent of cotton filled his nostrils, as warm as his grandpa's kang.

Recalling all the things that had happened that day, looking forward to tomorrow's arrival, he thought and thought, and then fell asleep.
