Chapter 16: Visiting Jones Farm

Luo Mu remembered that after a tera orb completed one Terastallization, all the Terastal energy stored inside would be depleted, making it impossible for the Trainer to use Terastallization a second time.

And there were two choices to replenish Terastal energy.

The first method was to go to the Pokémon Centers in various towns and use the Terastal energy replenishment devices, a Packages facility invented by Professor Ao Lin and Professor Fu Tu, to recharge.

However, because the tera orb had not yet been fully mass-produced, Terastal energy replenishment devices were only distributed in a few major cities in the Paldea region, and Pingdie Town was not included.

The second method was to search for the rare terastal crystals distributed across the vast land of the Paldea region; when a tera orb came into contact with a terastal crystal, Terastal energy would automatically replenish into the tera orb.

This method was more realistic, but unfortunately, Luo Mu had not encountered any terastal crystals near the farm yet, so he could only wait a while longer before recharging.

Thinking of this, Luo Mu sighed and had to give up on the idea of figuring out the tera types of his other Pokemon besides Swampert.

Luxray and Serperior must be Tera Electric and tera Grass; the only unknowns were Ceruledge, Mimikyu, and Dragonite.

Pai Pa tugged at Luo Mu, asking curiously, "This way, we can plant crops and harvest ingredients?"

Luo Mu pondered for a moment and said, "How should I put it? Generally, as long as the land is cleared, and the plants grown are not specific to certain seasons and soil conditions, it should be fine."

"I'm also only half-knowledgeable in this area, and I haven't decided what to plant first."

Pai Pa looked speechless; even though he was just a ten-year-old child, he could tell how unreliable Luo Mu was. He seemed to completely lack professional knowledge related to planting, almost an outsider.

"Brother Luo Mu, you..."

Pai Pa held it in for a long time, not knowing what to say.

Luo Mu smiled and patted Pai Pa's shoulder twice, making him stumble, and said with a mysterious smile, "I know what you want to say. In fact, I'm very aware that I'm an outsider, so why don't we just ask a professional?"

Pai Pa rubbed his slightly sore shoulder and tilted his head.

Jones Farm is one of Pingdie Town's largest sources of agricultural produce, and various crops produced here are distributed to people's tables in town and even transported to major cities in the Paldea region for sale.

Such a vast sales network naturally made it a major taxpayer within Pingdie Town, and it received preferential treatment from the town's administrators in various aspects.

Jones Farm is a little further west of the land Luo Mu bought, also located on the outskirts of Pingdie Town, bordering some wild land.

However, in terms of both facilities and staff professionalism, it was an existence that Luo Mu's empty farm could only dream of.

At the gatehouse outside the farm, it was just after noon. Looking through the glass, an old man was leisurely sleeping on a reclining chair inside.

Luo Mu glanced at the ordinary watch on his wrist, which he bought for a few hundred yuan, confirming that it was past 2:00 PM, the end of the lunch break. He gently knocked on the glass and said, "Sir, visitor registration."

The old man had a straw hat covering his face, seemingly to block the afternoon sun. Only after Luo Mu knocked three more times did he slowly wake up, looking at the visitors with sleepy eyes.

A young man and a child... and a dog?

This strange combination made the old man a bit confused, but he still dutifully stood up, yawned, pulled out the registration form, and asked, "Name?"

Luo Mu smiled and said, "Luo Mu. I made an appointment to visit earlier. Please check."

Upon hearing this, the old man raised his head and scrutinized Luo Mu. His old fingers were also busy rustling through papers. He picked up his reading glasses, put them on, and looked, then chuckled, "Hey, it's true. The appointment was for 2:00 PM today. Looks like this old man overslept."

"I apologize to you."

"It's fine." Luo Mu shook his head, indicating that he didn't mind, and then reminded, "As agreed before, please help us contact a guide."

"No problem, no problem." The old man breathed a sigh of relief and replied repeatedly. He immediately picked up the landline, intending to contact someone inside. Suddenly, his finger paused while dialing the number. He looked at Pai Pa and Mabosstiff, and asked hesitantly, "Who are they?"

Luo Mu glanced at Pai Pa and Mabosstiff, then explained without changing his expression, "They are a relative's child and Pokemon. They happened to have something for me to take care of. Could you make an exception?"

The old man hesitated for a moment, but finally dialed the phone.

After the call connected, someone quickly came over.

The newcomer was in his early twenties, with a short buzz cut and bright, energetic eyes that had a strangely clear quality.

He seemed to have just come from the fields, as fresh, damp soil still clung to his pant legs. He carried a large straw hat on his back, looking somewhat like an enlarged version of the Bug Catcher boy Luo Mu had seen in games.

The young man flashed a big smile. After taking over Luo Mu and his companions from the gate guard, he led them through the main gate of Jones Farm.

Jones Farm specializes in cultivation, producing various seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables according to the season. The farm's area is not large, only about half the size of the land Luo Mu bought.

However, Luo Mu had also divided his land into regions, so the actual Farming Area was quite a bit smaller than Jones Farm.

Along the way, the young man briefly introduced himself. His name was Peter, and he was the person in charge of fruits and vegetables at Jones Farm. He participated in most of the planting-related matters, making him a professional.

Peter said that the Jones Couple heard that a fellow practitioner had come to learn from them and felt honored but also a bit regretful, as they were currently negotiating business at the Ziqin Town market and couldn't spare time to return and receive them.

In the end, this matter fell to him.

"I heard from the bosses that someone recently took over that long-abandoned wasteland nearby. I didn't expect it to be you, young man?" Peter looked grateful, shaking Luo Mu's hand and saying, "The bosses had also been watching that wasteland for a long time, hesitating whether to take it, and I didn't expect you to snatch it up, haha!"

Luo Mu felt a bit awkward. He remembered that when he went to see the town mayor, the mayor did say that besides him, many others were observing due to the price. He, however, had saved a lot of money during his year of travel and directly chose to buy it outright, being quite wealthy.

He didn't expect the Jones Couple to be among them.

"First come, first served, don't worry about it!" Peter squeezed Luo Mu's hand a little harder and said directly, "Personally, I should thank you. It's a good thing you took over that wasteland, otherwise my workload would at least double!"

"So, if there's anything you want to know, just ask me!"
