Luo Mu spoke, "Serperior."
Serperior nodded slightly, and a Vine Whip extended from its collar, instantly coiling around a small white object in the air before retracting it and handing it to Luo Mu.
Luo Mu carefully picked up the tiny white object with his fingers, feeling its unique fluffy and soft texture, and a gleam of pleasant surprise flashed in his eyes.
Originally, his target was Grass-type Pokemon from the Paldea region with fixed distribution locations, such as Smoliv, Skiddo, Capsakid, Toedscruel, or Tropius.
He didn't expect such an unexpected delight from a single outing; the owner of this mysterious white fluff scattered in the air—this kind of Pokemon was perfectly suited for a farm.
Moreover, it was the signature Pokemon of the highly popular 'Arlo Farm' online.
"A Pokemon from the Galar region is quite rare in Paldea."
Luo Mu smiled, patted Pai Pa's shoulder to signal him and Mabosstiff to follow, then led Serperior to explore in the direction the fluff had drifted from.
Soon, they entered a vast grassland area.
Thick green grass, about calf-high, covered the ground, and occasionally, a few small Combee or Yanma could be seen flying low, while a red figure in the distance, like a performer, emitted a sharp Growl.
Following Combee could potentially lead to Vespiquen's location, thereby obtaining sweet honey. Normally, Luo Mu would have tried to follow them, but he had more important business to attend to. Luo Mu averted his gaze and scanned the grassland, quickly locking onto his target.
He saw two incredibly small Gossifleur, with five yellow petals and five red sepals resembling hair, happily enjoying the sunlight, playing and frolicking.
Behind them, an Eldegoss, with a large spherical mass of cotton on its head and a yellow cape, watched over the two Gossifleur with a smile.
Pai Pa was about to speak but was stopped by Luo Mu, who placed a finger to his lips, using both gesture and gaze to signal Pai Pa to lower his voice to avoid startling Eldegoss and its companions.
Pai Pa nodded repeatedly, his face tense, and he hugged Mabosstiff, who was wildly wagging its tail and trying to jump out to chase butterflies, then quietly asked, "Brother Luo Mu, what kind of Pokemon is that?"
Pai Pa had never seen this kind of Pokemon since he was little, and his curiosity was piqued.
Luo Mu observed the three Pokemon without looking away, quietly replying, "Those two smaller, flower-like Pokemon are called Gossifleur, and the one watching over them is called Eldegoss. They are both Pokemon from the Galar region."
"They are almost nonexistent in the Paldea region. The fact that we can encounter them here means we are truly blessed by the goddess of luck."
Pai Pa nodded in sudden understanding. The Galar region, he had never been there before.
Upon hearing the word 'goddess,' Serperior instantly tensed its body, and the tip of its tail began to flick in displeasure.
Goddess!
Where is the goddess?
Come out and fight! (▼ dish ▼ #)
As Serperior indiscriminately radiated its terrifying jealousy, Pai Pa's suppressed gasp rang out: "They're flying away!"
A rustling sound filled the peaceful grassland as a strong gust of wind blew through. The two Gossifleur let out excited Growls, carried away by the wind, spinning and singing a cheerful tune.
And Eldegoss, as if unconstrained by gravity, its body much larger than Gossifleur's, also flew with the wind, closely following the two Gossifleur.
Pai Pa's expression was full of admiration: "How amazing! How did that Eldegoss fly?"
That's because, as Gossifleur's evolved form, Eldegoss's height and weight change very little; it only appears heavier due to the extremely light cotton on its head, but it can still be carried by the wind like Gossifleur.
Luo Mu didn't have time to explain the above information to Pai Pa. He quickly stood up, ignoring his slightly numb feet from squatting in the grass for a while, and whispered, "We chase!"
"Ah? Oh!"
Pai Pa stared blankly as Luo Mu and Serperior sprinted out like arrows from a bow, but he was a beat too slow, and they were already far ahead.
Forgetting his bewilderment, Pai Pa loosened his grip and started running to catch up with Luo Mu and Serperior's retreating figures. An excited Mabosstiff also followed closely by his side, adhering to its protective duty.
After a chase, Pai Pa leaned on his knees, panting heavily, feeling as if his heart was about to leap out of his chest.
Luo Mu slowly regulated his erratic heart rate and laughed, "You're no good, kid. You're already tired from running such a short distance."
Pai Pa was displeased and retorted, "Brother Luo Mu, you... you're no better. You lost Eldegoss and them, so why are you talking about me?"
Luo Mu's face fell, and he stubbornly argued, "That's different. Who knew a sudden strong wind would blow up, and they just happened to drift into this forest? We only lost them due to a double force majeure."
Only then did Pai Pa have time to observe his surroundings. As far as his eyes could see, it was almost entirely tall trees, with many obstructions and very complex terrain, so losing them wasn't surprising.
Having finally recovered, Pai Pa blinked and asked, "So what do we do now? Was this a wasted trip?"
Luo Mu crossed his arms and pondered for a moment, then sighed, "Let's search around here again. The wind has stopped now, and given Eldegoss and their movement speed, they shouldn't have gone too far."
"Of course, if we still can't find them after an hour, then we'll go back. It's getting dark, and it's easy to get lost in the wild at night."
Pai Pa nodded, half-understanding, not truly comprehending the reality of the wild at night.
Luo Mu did not split up with Pai Pa to expand the search area and efficiency, as they were in the wilderness, and any unexpected event could occur inadvertently.
Pai Pa was not yet the future Senior Pai Pa; he still lacked many important things and understanding when facing crises.
As Pai Pa's senior and future teacher, Luo Mu believed he needed to take on this responsibility.
While this method was less efficient, at least no accidents would occur.
Next, the two, leading Mabosstiff and Serperior, searched for more than half an hour, still finding nothing.
Looking up at the gradually darkening sky, Luo Mu knew it was time to go.
After all, they were destined to meet but not to stay.
Luo Mu smiled helplessly, then turned to Pai Pa and said, "Let's go, it's time to head back."
Pai Pa nodded and followed Luo Mu's steps.
"Galo!"
Serperior suddenly raised its head, its crimson snake eyes looking towards the distant forest.
"You sensed their presence?" Luo Mu paused, looking at Serperior.
Serperior nodded in affirmation, its deep gaze fixed on that direction without blinking.
Besides the presence of those three Grass-type Pokemon, it also detected an unfamiliar presence, most likely not a companion of Eldegoss and its group.
