Returning to the kitchen, Luo Mu started planning what dishes to prepare today.
The dishes to be made revolved around the crops harvested in abundance today: cucumbers, eggplants, tomatoes, cabbage, and strawberries. Although there were many varieties, they were not suitable as main courses and usually appeared as side dishes in many meals.
Considering that among the dozen or so Pokemon, some were carnivores and some were herbivores, the menu could not be single but needed to be diversified.
After a busy period, Luo Mu presented several dishes to the eagerly awaiting Pokemon, who had returned from cleaning off the dirt.
The crisp and fragrant cucumbers harvested from the fields were made into smashed cucumbers, and their sweet and sour taste was very popular with the four Poliwag.
Because there were smashed cucumbers, if the eggplant were made into a cold dish, the flavor would be repetitive, so Luo Mu made it into steaming hot Fish-Flavored Eggplant.
Besides these, there was also the classic stir-fried tomatoes with eggs, and braised fish made from fish bought at the market.
The dessert was a vegetable and fruit salad mixed with yogurt and some of the harvested crops.
The table in the small house was simply not large enough to accommodate so many Pokemon, so Luo Mu had no choice but to move the 'battlefield' outdoors.
The sweet and sour crispness of the smashed cucumbers, the savory and slightly sweet Fish-Flavored Eggplant, the consistently delicious stir-fried tomatoes with eggs, and the tender, rich, but not greasy fish of the red-braised fish—each bite left a lingering fragrance in the mouth, with a hint of spice.
The salad, as a post-meal dessert, seemed to be very popular with the two Gossifleur. They stabilized themselves by digging one leg into the ground and buried half their faces into the salad bowls in front of them, making happy sounds as they ate.
Eldegoss looked at its two little companions with a helpless but doting expression, occasionally lowering its head to take small bites of the salad, savoring the taste and sense of accomplishment from the strawberries it had cultivated.
It had been some time since it settled down on the farm. While there wasn't the novelty of drifting with the wind and making the four seas its home as it did in the wild, this simple yet fulfilling life deeply immersed it.
Perhaps, this was the feeling of 'home' that it had learned about from other Pokemon during its journey of drifting with the wind.
After a delightful lunch, the Pokemon, looking satisfied, either went to take a nap if they wanted to, or played and sparred in the open space if they wanted to expend their excess energy.
Swampert's fists swung with powerful force, while its opponent, Ceruledge, was like a calm swordsman, slightly turning its body to dodge some attacks, and raising the flaming greatswords on its arms to block or counter attacks it couldn't evade.
Occasionally, when Swampert's fists or Ceruledge's twin swords missed and hit the ground, a huge pit or a deep gully would appear. If an ordinary Pokemon took such a hit, the outcome would likely be tragic.
Growlithe watched intensely under Moltres's careful supervision, its dark eyes hidden beneath its fur unblinking as it observed their movements, very serious.
Initially, Moltres didn't want to accept that it, a single legendary bird, suddenly had a son, and this son even called it 'mom' and called Luo Mu, the human, 'dad'.
However, this little guy was truly enthusiastic and persistent. Moltres, who had never had friends or experienced such genuine warmth from another creature, couldn't resist.
Perhaps the emotions generated during egg incubation also played a role. Now, Moltres was completely captivated by Growlithe; even in its free time, its gaze would follow Growlithe's figure, paying attention to what it was doing.
Luo Mu, noticing Moltres's change, showed an amused smile, thinking, 'Now, the subsequent developments are probably going to get interesting.'
Luo Mu watched with a smile as the stories unfolded from the interactions between different Pokemon on the farm.
Suddenly, a wave of drowsiness came over him. Luo Mu had no intention of resisting the sleepiness, letting himself Yawn. Looking at the perfectly clear, sunny sky, he murmured, 'I've been busy all morning. The weather is perfect; why not take a nap?'
After a moment of thought, Luo Mu's gaze drifted over the few Pokemon still present.
Swampert and Ceruledge were engaged in a heated battle; he shouldn't disturb them, and leaning against hard muscles and cold armor wouldn't feel very good either.
Luo Mu didn't consider himself familiar enough with Moltres to use it as a bed for a nap, and Eldegoss, Gossifleur, and Mimikyu were too small.
After much thought, the only choices left were Luxray, who was dozing on the ground, and Dragonite, who was floating in the sky.
Luo Mu asked himself whether he wanted to sleep on a fluffy 'bed' or a soft, elastic 'bed' today, and he quickly made a decision.
Today, I'll nap with Dragonite!
Luo Mu immediately called out to the sky. After Dragonite descended to the ground like a gust of wind, Luo Mu, in its somewhat suffocating embrace, expressed his desire to invite Dragonite for a nap.
Dragonite was very willing and immediately chose a spot with perfect sunlight, lying on its back on the ground, and patted its round belly, indicating that Luo Mu could sleep anywhere he liked.
Luo Mu chuckled, choosing what he felt was the most comfortable spot to lie on Dragonite's belly. Its slightly undulating, soft potbelly was simply no less comfortable than any high-end mattress.
Perhaps, only Snorlax, with its superior size, could compete with Dragonite in this regard.
Although he really wanted to catch a Snorlax to be his exclusive nap bed, considering the terrifying appetite of such a Pokemon, Luo Mu felt that all the crops grown on his small farm might not even be enough to feed a Snorlax, so he only thought about it.
Unbeknownst to him, Luo Mu thus fell into a dream under Dragonite's gentle gaze. Mimikyu, who was amusing itself in the shadows, scurried into the house, carrying a thin blanket with Shadow Claw.
Mimikyu carefully covered Luo Mu with the thin blanket. It was already very satisfied just to be able to do these things.
Luo Mu was awakened by a commotion and a wet licking sensation on his cheek. He opened his slightly hazy eyes and found the Pokemon surrounding the two Gossifleur, not knowing what they were doing.
Growlithe realized it had finally licked Luo Mu awake and barked excitedly, immediately attracting the attention of the Pokemon over there.
Eldegoss quickly bounced over to Luo Mu, and without hands, it could only anxiously use its movements to attract Luo Mu's attention.
'What's going on?'
All of Luo Mu's weariness disappeared. He frowned and followed Eldegoss to the Gossifleur, who were surrounded by the Pokemon.
The two Gossifleur at this moment had somewhat strange expressions, curled up in place, seemingly enduring some unknown burden.
