Chapter 104: little sloppy

Li Yu stepped forward, extended the back of his hand, and touched his Second Uncle's forehead. It was very hot; he was probably running a high fever.

He then tore open the cloth bandaging his chest. The wound before his eyes was somewhat terrifying, a seven or eight-centimeter cut with the skin and flesh on both sides peeled back, revealing the tender meat underneath.

Because Li Yu pulled it open, a little fresh blood began to seep out again, and some of the flesh inside was already somewhat necrotic, indicating inflammation.

Now that Second Uncle was in a high fever and unconscious, Li Yu felt a sense of urgency; he had to get his Second Uncle back to the base as soon as possible.

At the base, he had built a medical clinic before the apocalypse, where he had purchased many readily available instruments and medicines, including interferon, antibiotics, and so on.

Plus, there was Li Yuan, who had already attended medical school and was a third-year student, not yet having started her internship, but at least it was better than staying here.

He had to get him back to the base as soon as possible.

Looking around, he didn't seem to see anyone else. Li Yu asked, "Where are my Uncle and the others?"

At the mention of her husband, his Aunt instantly choked up, her voice filled with sobs as she said, "On the way back, to fight off the zombies and let us go first, he was bitten by a zombie, and then Qiqi also..."

Qiqi, a cute little girl, his Aunt's youngest daughter, instantly came to Li Yu's mind. He hadn't expected that she too...

Suddenly, two people, one big and one small, came out of another small room.

They were Second Uncle's youngest daughter and his Aunt's son. Both were very young, under ten years old.

Their faces were sallow, somewhat disheveled, and their thin bodies looked like they had little flesh. At this moment, they held two sticks in their hands, looking at Li Yu and his group with some fear.

On the road, they had encountered too many zombies and too many bad people. Even their fathers, one had died at the hands of zombies, and the other was unconscious.

But life had to go on. At their young age, they had already learned to use weapons to protect themselves.

However, when Li Yu turned his head to look at them, these two little figures widened their eyes, their gazes seemingly filled with disbelief.

At this moment, Li Yu held a flashlight, shining it forward, while Li Hang, behind him, held a flashlight that shone on him.

To these two children, Li Yu seemed to be radiating light!

This was their Da Biao Ge!

He was theirs!

Their eyes instantly reddened, and they rushed towards Li Yu like mad.

"Da Biao Ge!"

"Da Biao Ge!"

Li Yu hugged these two little figures, his heart aching even more. Fortunately, he had come.

Otherwise, he couldn't imagine how difficult life would be, relying only on Xiao Chi, who wasn't an adult, and his Second Aunt and Aunt, two women.

Li Yu grabbed their hands and then said to the workers behind him, "Ding Jiu, you three first carry my Second Uncle to the car.

Then, you go directly to Yugu Terrace and move the things. After meeting us later, we'll leave directly."

"Be quick!"

Ding Jiu nodded at the words, then he and the other workers quickly stepped forward, searched the room, and finally found some items to simply makeshift a stretcher. They then carried Second Uncle out.

Li Yu looked at Second Aunt, who was following beside him, then said to Li Hang, "You go with them and tell Ding Jiu and the others to carry him slowly. Be careful."

He looked up at Captain Lü beside him, seeing that they were still there, and exchanged glances with Li Tie and Li Gang. The meaning in his eyes instantly made the two understand.

Big Brother never trusted anyone when doing things. Now that Second Uncle was being carried away, they also had to guard against these people making a move at any time.

So Li Gang and Li Tie walked out the door, each finding the most suitable position where they could see Li Yu's room and also see Ding Jiu and the others carrying Second Uncle.

Li Hang didn't carry anything but held his submachine gun, guarding the surroundings vigilantly. Influenced by his older brother, he had severe paranoia; he felt that everyone outside, except for his family and some friends, was a bad person.

He was never afraid to be ruthless towards bad people; if these people made any move, he would instantly open fire!

Li Yu saw that Second Aunt, Second Uncle, and the others had all left. So he said to his Aunt, "Let's go too!"

Seeing the many onlookers who had gathered because of Li Yu and his group, she scanned the crowd. Seemingly not finding the person she was looking for, she said to Li Yu, "Xiao Yu, do you still remember Xiao Lata, whom you met when you were little and came to our house?"

Li Yu was a little confused. Xiao Lata?

Was it that Xiao Lata who had aspired since childhood to wander the streets picking up trash when she grew up?

He then nodded and said, "I have some impression. Why, is she here too?"

His Aunt said, "Ah, Xiao Lata, thanks to her. The reason we could come in was because she exchanged some food for our entry. Otherwise, think about it, your Uncle isn't here, your Second Uncle is injured, how could they possibly let us in?

During this time, your Second Uncle has been unconscious, and Xiao Chi and I have been searching for supplies outside. According to their rules here, ninety percent of the collected supplies must be handed over, or you can't stay here.

Originally, we even thought of saving some food to exchange for anti-inflammatory medicine, but what we had wasn't even enough for just the few of us to eat. If Xiao Lata hadn't helped us, we probably wouldn't have been able to get in, and our lives might have been even harder than they are now."

Upon hearing this, Li Yu gave Director Zhang a meaningful look.

And Director Zhang, however, was listening to his Aunt's words with a look of disbelief!

He had explicitly stipulated that anyone could join their faction, regardless of age, old or young. Supplies were to be distributed fairly, a three-seven split. Anyone who went out only needed to hand over thirty percent of the collected supplies, and the rest belonged to themselves.

But now, listening to Li Yu's Aunt, it was a one-nine split!

Director Zhang's face flushed. He had just said that he had saved Li Yu's Aunt and the others.

But the current reality was that his Aunt and the others had only exchanged food for a house and had so few supplies remaining.

Li Yu didn't speak. After all, he had seen too many such things. There were policies from above, but the people implementing them below had long twisted them beyond recognition; good policies had turned into bad ones.

This was still a group of several hundred people, and even with only two levels of difference, the transmission of information could change a great deal.

Li Yu asked, "Where is Xiao Lata then?"

His Aunt was also a little confused. According to her understanding of Xiao Lata, Xiao Lata should love to join in on the fun.

So she led Li Yu out the door and walked towards the house next door.

But before Li Yu and the others could get close, a charming yet explosively fierce voice came from inside the room:

"surname Wu, I'm telling you, today! You have to exchange this anti-inflammatory medicine for me, whether you want to or not."

"..."

"What, these supplies aren't enough? Are you dreaming?"

"..."

"You must exchange it, what? Speak louder! I can't hear you, you want to find Brother Liu?

"It's useless to find anyone, you have to exchange it whether you want to or not, I said so!"

Crash!

A shoe shot out directly, piercing through the window glass, smashing it!

It flew out!
