Chapter 145: pear shaped body

Li Yu strolled casually and soon arrived at the garden, where Xiao Lata was playing landlord with Li Hang and the others on the long stone table by the garden.

Li Yu approached and saw Li Hang’s face covered with small pieces of paper, laughing as he said, “Xiao Hang, are you that bad?”

“Brother, come, help me.” Li Hang quickly moved aside, and Li Tie, who was opposite him, looked at Xiao Hang and said, “Still calling for reinforcements, huh? Hahahaha.”

Xiao Lata looked up and saw Li Yu. During this time, Xiao Lata had adapted very well, and there were many more smiles on her face. There were many young people at the base, and in such a friendly atmosphere, everyone got along quite happily.

It was only when she occasionally had to go on duty at the wall and saw the zombies that she realized she was living in the apocalypse.

Li Yu smiled at Xiao Lata, who was looking at him with bright, wide eyes, shook his head, and then turned to Li Hang, saying, “You guys play, I’m not playing anymore. I’m going for a walk on the mountaintop.”

He turned and left the garden.

Xiao Lata, who was behind, saw that Li Yu seemed to have something on his mind, so she gave her cards to the young girl who was squatting behind her, watching the game. This young girl was Optimistic Xiao Han, who had previously been with Song Min. She had been watching them play, her heart itching, and now she finally got a chance to play, beaming with joy.

Xiao Lata quickened her steps and walked alongside Li Yu.

Li Yu heard footsteps, tilted his head, and saw Xiao Lata catching up, so he turned his head but didn’t speak.

“What’s wrong? You seem to have something on your mind?” Xiao Lata asked softly.

Li Yu slowed his pace and looked towards the sky. The sun seemed to be covered by dark clouds, and the sky was not as bright. He slowly said, “I’m a little worried about my Third Uncle and the others. The people are one thing, and the other is the weather.”

“The weather? What’s wrong with the weather?” Xiao Lata also looked up and saw the sun overhead covered by dark clouds, but this cloud was not large and would soon disperse.

“It’s been sunny lately, and the weather is starting to get hot. Grandpa said it might rain in a few days,” Li Yu said. In today’s world, there is no weather forecast, but old farmers, who have farmed their whole lives, are more accurate in predicting this kind of weather than any forecast.

“It might rain,” Xiao Lata muttered, lowering her head, seemingly recalling some unpleasant memories. Rain meant that the zombies would become more active, and many zombies that usually hid in valleys or shady spots would come out.

Even continuous heavy rain could lead to a zombie horde, and they had all witnessed how terrifying a zombie horde could be.

“Third Uncle and Eldest Uncle are both quite steady; they will be careful. Besides, they brought a lot of food and weapons, so they should be fine,” Xiao Lata consoled him.

Li Yu turned to look at Xiao Lata beside him, oh no, Yu Tong.

The dark clouds in the sky were just blown away by the wind, and sunlight streamed down. Li Yu saw the sunlight shining on Xiao Lata, giving her a somewhat glowing appearance.

He had never noticed before how good Xiao Lata’s figure was, with long legs, a large butt, large breasts, and a slender waist.

An atypical pear-shaped figure, only her calves were quite slender.

Seemingly sensing Li Yu’s gaze, Xiao Lata immediately turned her head and saw where Li Yu’s eyes were looking.

Li Yu quickly turned his head again and walked up the mountain; he wanted to go up the mountain to check the weather.

Xiao Lata felt a bit proud but also a little amused, seeing Li Yu walk a few steps then stop again to wait for her, the corners of her mouth curving slightly upwards.

Meanwhile, on Third Uncle’s side, the two drove cautiously towards the county town. They didn’t plan to enter the city but intended to find the tallest building on the only road leading into the county town and observe from there.

After their initial conversation, the two remained silent throughout the journey.

Soon, the two found a good location. This area was on the outskirts of the city, where houses had just been demolished, preparing for new construction, a complete mess. However, behind these houses, there was also a Shangri-La Hotel. This ten-story building was already considered a relatively tall structure in this small county town.

They drove slowly from the small courtyard behind, circling to the back of that courtyard, and stopped in a dilapidated parking lot.

When the car stopped, Eldest Uncle and Third Uncle did not get out. They sat in the car for about five minutes before finally getting out. After bringing all the food and weapons, Third Uncle looked around and found no one present.

The two began to run upstairs. This building was very large but very quiet.

Upon entering the second floor, the carpet was still soft, but the bloodstains and dirt on it seemed to tell them what had happened there.

The two were very cautious, one in front and one behind, walking upstairs. Suddenly, on the staircase of the third floor, halfway up, Third Uncle, who was in front, suddenly stopped and gently nudged Eldest Uncle, who was following behind and looking in the opposite direction.

Both looked up to the third floor, only to see a zombie wandering around.

Eldest Uncle gave Third Uncle a look, and Third Uncle nodded. There were no better buildings around to choose from; a higher one would allow them to see further.

So, let’s go up.

Third Uncle’s figure was like a ghost; he rushed up in two steps. Before the zombie could react, he drew a dagger from his thigh and plunged it directly into the zombie’s head.

Third Uncle slowly laid the zombie’s body down, made a gesture with his hand for Eldest Uncle to follow, then flashed into the third floor.

Immediately, he closed the door to the third floor.

“Clear it floor by floor. To avoid trouble popping up later, what do you think?” Eldest Uncle asked.

Third Uncle nodded; he thought the same. It was better to deal with all the zombies now, no matter how troublesome, rather than encounter a horde of zombies when going downstairs later, which would be disastrous.

Working together, the two retrieved spears from the car and cleared the zombies in the building floor by floor.

On the fifth floor, Eldest Uncle had just kicked open a door when nearly 20 zombies instantly surged out. These twenty zombies might have been confined inside and had never come out.

No sooner said than done, Eldest Uncle retreated, and as he retreated, with a dagger in one hand and a spear in the other, he swiftly and cleanly dealt with the two zombies that rushed forward first, reacting very quickly.

In contrast, Third Uncle, upon seeing the zombies, did not retreat. His figure was like a leopard, and he charged directly forward.

As he ran, the slender spear in his hand was like a stapler, furiously plunging into the zombies’ heads. He maintained his speed, instantly piercing the heads of the four surging zombies.

Six zombies fell to the ground. All of this happened in just a few seconds.

The zombies had no idea how terrifying these two were; upon seeing them, they instead rushed towards them even faster.
