Chapter 118: Trapping failed

Lance quietly pushed aside the bushes in front of him and carefully poked his head out.

In the small patch of grass in the middle of the dense forest, six Pegasus horses with snow-white bodies and green manes were leisurely nibbling the grass with their snorts.

"Gas Pegasus?" Lance was a little disappointed. After all, the Gas Pegasus was just a low-level monster, and a rather weak one among Pegasus. Besides being able to fly, it had very few skills...

"It's good enough to have it! I was just greedy!" Lance shook his head to dispel his greed.

Lance looked carefully for a while and confirmed that this small group of Pegasus would not leave in the short term, then he slowly retreated.

"Rangers, make tripwires! Cavalry, dismount and surround them!" Lance ordered in a low voice.

"Yes, sir!" everyone shouted.

"Sir Lance, what about me?" asked Jesse Ava, who was riding a pony and holding a blanket.

"Hahaha, Your Highness, you might as well wait a moment! Let me catch them first. Before that, you can consider taking a rest!" Lance smiled.

"Anyone have any extra rope? Anyone got any extra rope? Give me some rope," Lance whispered.

"I have it here, sir." A ranger from Lordaeron handed over a roll of hemp rope.

"Snap, snap, snap!" Lance took the rope and grabbed both ends and pulled it a few times. The straightened rope immediately made crackling sounds.

Lance unrolled the rope, smoothed it, and tied a slipknot, clearly intending to lasso the horse. Honestly, the Swift Pegasus wasn't very powerful, otherwise Lance wouldn't have made such a risky move. If his target was the Blazing Pegasus, Lance would have turned around and left without a word! Not to mention the Holy Light Pegasus, the ultimate Pegasus...

"Sir, should we lure them over here first?" asked the Lordaeron ranger hiding in a tree.

"Seduction? That requires potions! Do we look like we have potions?" Lance rolled his eyes and complained. If he had potions, would it be so troublesome to set a trap to catch them?

"Ask everyone, are the tripwires ready?" Lance ordered the soldiers beside him. A tripwire is actually a rope with heavy objects at both ends. When it is thrown out and hits the target's legs, it will quickly wrap around under the action of centrifugal force and trip the target to the ground.

After a while, the soldier returned and whispered to Lance, "Sir, everyone is ready!"

"Okay! Prepare to tell them to act according to the signal!" Lance stared at the leisurely Pegasus in front of him.

"Screech!" The sharp sound of an arrow echoed throughout the jungle.

"Go!" Lance took the lead and jumped out of the bushes, the lasso in his hand already starting to spin.

"Hi Lu Lu!" The Swift Pegasus looked at the humans who kept emerging from the jungle in confusion and were stunned for a moment. Then they immediately reacted. They neighed and swung their four hooves as they fled madly. The green airflow around their bodies showed that they had activated their innate skill - Wind Run (greatly increasing their running and flying speed).

"Throw a rope!" Lance's eyes fixed. He had been careless. He hadn't expected these Swift Pegasus to be so fast...

“Huh~”

“Woo~Woo!”

Dozens of slings of different sizes were thrown out by the Lordaeron rangers, and a series of rapidly passing shadows whizzed through the sky.

"Lightning shot out!"

"Zongheng!"

"Treading on the air!"

The Lordaeron Rangers released one skill after another, and at this moment the distance between them and the Swift Pegasus was rapidly shortening. Everyone had a look of joy on their faces, because four of the Swift Pegasus were entangled in the trip ropes of the crowd, and they were limping and could not walk fast at all.

"Success!" Lance pounded his fist excitedly.

"Shh!" Amidst the excitement of the crowd, several Swift Pegasus cried out in sorrow, then suddenly spread their wings and flapped them! With a bang, the Swift Pegasus had surpassed the height of the treetops and flapped their wings away under the astonished gaze of the crowd.

"This..." Lance was stunned for a moment.

"No way! Can a cooked duck fly away?"

“Something’s wrong!”

"How did they escape?"

Lance was completely bewildered, and even the Lordaeron Ranger closest to the Swift Pegasus looked as if he had seen something strange. He looked like he could have pinned the Swift Pegasus to the ground and captured it with just two more steps, but who knew it could actually fly! (Pegasus need a running start to fly!)

"Tsk! My luck can't be that bad... Could it be that all those Swift Pegasus just now all had the skill Extreme Lift?" Lance couldn't help but secretly click his tongue. He was truly unlucky. You know, most Pegasus need a run-up before taking flight, even the Holy Light Pegasus, who are at the top of their combat power, are no exception. Only Pegasus with the Extreme Lift skill can ignore the run-up and take off directly...

Thinking of this, Lance's heart ached, his heart aching. What a waste! What a waste! Using this magical skill on a Swift Pegasus, which was only used by other powerful Pegasus, was simply ridiculous... Lance used up his brain cells and pondered carefully. After a few moments, he realized that the Swift Pegasus only had two attack skills: one called Wind Blade, and the other called Great Wind Blade...

"Fuck (an elegant herb with a unique appearance and extraordinary character)!" Lance, such an elegant nobleman, was so angry that he burst into swearing.

"Sir, what should we do?" Lance's men looked at him eagerly, their eyes filled with indescribable grievance. They had been busy and excited for a long time, but he just flapped his wings and left! Who could bear this?

"Enough! Stop howling! Pack up and continue on our journey as planned!" Lance turned around and left with a dark face, wasting a lot of intact ropes and wasting quite a bit of time, but in the end he didn't catch a single hair.

"What happened, Lord Lance? Did the arrest operation go smoothly?" Seeing Lance coming back, Jesse Ava, who was sitting on the tree stump, kicked his short legs and jumped down and asked with concern.

"Run away!" Lance sighed, his eyes full of frustration.

"Hahaha, it's okay, Lord Lance, don't worry, there will always be opportunities in the future!" Jesse Ava comforted him. He wanted to reach out and pat Lance on the shoulder, but he pulled his hand back halfway. There was no way his size was a disadvantage for the goblins...

"I hope so!" Lance said perfunctorily without much interest.

"My lord, it's all packed!"

"Okay! Let's go! It's getting late, we have to find a dry place to camp! It might rain at night!" Lance looked up at the slightly gloomy sky. The probability of raining at night was very high, so they needed to take rain protection measures. Otherwise, it would be a miracle if they didn't get sick after being rained on all night!

"Okay, sir!" Several Lordaeron rangers handed their horses to their companions and walked through the woods to clear the way for the people behind them.
