Chapter 8: Troll Forest

Early in the morning, everyone packed their bags and left the town of Bree under the rising sun.

Roland opened the map and looked at the woodland on the west side of the Misty Mountains on the East-West Avenue, and he couldn't help but frown.

"The Troll Forest?" Roland couldn't help but worry. Whether in the game or the movie, that area was inhabited by wandering trolls, and it was also the most important part of the plot of The Hobbit. The three elves' swords regained their glory: Glamdring - the enemy sword, Orcrest - the beast bite sword, and Bilber's exclusive Sting.

"Evil is hidden in this forest..." Gandalf appeared beside Roland at some point and whispered.

"Ogres? My knights will just chop off their heads!" Roland's eyes flashed coldly.

"I hope so..." Gandalf looked at Roland deeply.

"Clang!" Roland drew out the Dragon Slayer from his waist.

"Everyone, pay attention! Stay alert!" Roland raised his sword and rode back and forth in the ranks to make sure everyone could hear his voice.

The knights silently tightened their belts, fastened their swords, and hung their lances on the most convenient part of their saddles. The knights in the front row held their lances high, their eyes scanning the surrounding dense forest. The Badanian archers drew their mithril bows and placed arrows on the bowstrings.

"Stay alert and pay attention to the queue. Don't panic when you encounter danger. Use your shields to block attacks from all directions. Keep moving and don't let yourself become a static target!" Renault rode his horse to the periphery of the team and shouted to the alert knights.

"Sir, I found that some knights are about to be promoted." Kaslan suddenly discovered something and rode his horse to Roland and whispered in his ear.

"Hmm?" Roland raised an eyebrow and opened the Magic Ring system. Sure enough, the battle spirit levels of his first ten apprentice knights were almost approaching the level of a knight. Roland smiled happily. Although an apprentice knight was still a knight, a knight was still much more beautiful than an apprentice knight. They were also much more powerful. Moreover, the knight level had some excellent skills that an apprentice knight could not match.

Compared to the Apprentice Knight, the Knight has several more useful skills. Shield Wall: Concentrates a large amount of battle energy into the shield, forming a light shield 2 meters long and 1 meter wide in front of the body. Requires a shield! Sword Parry: After successfully blocking an enemy attack, you can immediately launch a slashing attack. The slashing battle energy has the ability to penetrate armor. Requires a sword. Flash Sword: Summons a long sword of concentrated battle energy from the sky, dealing burn damage to the enemy upon impact. The attack range is 10 meters.

"Caslo has a task for you." Roland rolled his eyes.

"Sir, I am at your service at any time." Kaslo said hurriedly.

"You should be able to teach them some skills," Roland whispered.

"Of course, a large part of the skills of the Dragon Knight are common to those of ordinary knights." Kaslo was stunned and whispered quickly.

"Then you will be responsible for teaching them skills." Roland patted his shoulder quickly.

"What?" Casi Luo immediately put on a black question mark face.

"We don't have any professional mentors here, so please do it for us. Renault still needs to lead the team, so this task is left to you!" Roland patted his shoulder and encouraged him.

"Sir, does this count as conscription?" Caslo said, covering his face.

"Ahem, this is called those who are capable should do more work." Roland said without blushing or beating his heart.

"Thorin, we have to be careful when we go down here. Tell your dwarf brothers that our whereabouts may have been exposed and the orcs may be targeting us." Roland found Thorin.

"What?" Thorin asked in surprise.

"It's not easy to walk down this forest. The ogres hidden in it won't let us pass easily." Roland sighed helplessly as he looked at the crowd.

You should know that there are more than just the three ogres in the forest of ogres. There are quite a few ogres hidden there.

"Don't worry, sir, I will keep everyone alert at all times." Thorin thought for a moment and replied.

"I hope so."

At night, by the campfire, Balin told Bilber the story of Thorin and the pale orc Azog, just as Roland knew it.

"So what happened next? What about the orc?" Bilber couldn't help but ask.

"Dead! He died of serious injuries in the dark cave." Thorin walked over with a cold face.

"Go to bed early, we have to travel tomorrow." Roland came over.

"Let's sleep, let's sleep." Bilber and everyone spread out their blankets and lay down beside the warm campfire, while Roland walked to his own marching tent to rest. The marching tent was very large and could accommodate 10 fully armed knights to rest. Roland and his men set up 13 tents, one each for Roland, Kaslo and Renault, one for the other 10 people, and another 10 people to keep watch.

"Damn it! Someone is missing!" Roland heard someone shouting in a daze.

"Damn it! Damn it! I forgot there were ogres attacking at night these past few days!" Roland jumped up and drew out the Dragon Slaying Sword and walked out of the tent.

"What's going on!" Roland asked, grabbing Oli.

"Bilbo and Kili are missing!" Oli said in panic.

"Renault! Wake up everyone! Get ready for battle!" Roland shouted loudly.

"Thorin! Your people are really troublesome!" Roland said helplessly.

"Wait, where did you put the horse tie?" Roland suddenly realized that it seemed that in the plot, they had put the horse tie in the woods and the ogre had taken it away.

"Kili and Fili have tied the horses in the woods," Dwalin said suddenly.

"Go see if the horse is there!" Roland said hurriedly.

Someone quickly ran over, and soon Balin came running over: "He's gone!"

"Damn it! There are at least a dozen ogres!" Roland had a headache.

"Knights! Assemble!" Roland shouted.

"Help! Help!" Suddenly Philip crawled out from the bushes.

"Trolls! They've caught Bilber and stolen our pony!"

"Lead the way!" Renault said coldly.

"Oh oh oh, come with me!" Philip was stunned for a moment and then quickly reacted.

"Look, if I catch you, I will tear you into pieces and eat you with sauce." A three or four meter tall ogre roared.

Below, Bilber and Kili kept dodging the ogre's outstretched hands.

"Haven't you caught these two little mice yet?"

"How should these horses be fed?"

"I think it should be eaten raw."

"Let's make some soup. I have some squirrel poop for seasoning."

"Huh? Why do I hear the sound of horse hooves? It sounds a bit like the hooves of human heavy cavalry." A ogre who was burning a fire suddenly raised his head and looked at the swaying bushes in the distance in confusion.

"For the glory of the Knights! Charge!"

"Kill! For justice!"

"For the revival of Lagrange!" This is Renault.

Instantly, a torrent of steel burst out of the brush. Lance fire radiated a cold glow, standing like a forest, like tin cans, smashing through all obstacles ahead and pressing forward. The ogre chasing Bilber and Kili was instantly knocked over head-on by a cavalryman. The knight behind him, lance raised, charged forward. Feeling the immense resistance, the knight frowned and immediately released his lance, grabbing a fighting pick. Taking advantage of the moment they passed by, he struck with the pick.

"Ouch!" the ogre howled in pain.

Unfortunately, before it could howl for long, it was submerged in the torrent of steel. Under the illumination of the torches of the knights who kept pouring out, only the ground was covered with paste-like minced meat.
