Chapter 9: The three swords of elves appear in the world

As the Knights charged, Roland felt his blood boiling, as if a familiar background music was playing. Perhaps "Star Sky" was very appropriate for the occasion.

"Kill!" Roland roared, and cut off the left calf of a ogre with a sword. The ogre's huge body fell directly to the ground and was then ruthlessly trampled by the iron hooves.

"Shoot!" the Badanian archer shouted. Skill: Shoot! Activate!

Running Shooting is a very practical skill that can greatly improve shooting accuracy while running and riding.

"Swish!" A steel arrow shot into the ogre's eye socket. The ogre immediately covered his injured eye and wailed while spinning around in place. Soon his pain was over. Two knights lifted him up high with their lances, and then threw him aside. After rolling a few times, he died.

"Kill!" Golden battle energy flames covered his entire body, and a sacred light spread out. Reynolds, like a man made of gold, held his lance high and charged head-on into the ogre. A powerful burst of battle energy instantly blew the ogre to pieces, sending black blood and tissue flying through the air. Reynolds remained as sacred and noble as before. Behind him, the knights of Lagrande brandished their weapons, following this torrent of steel as they poured down...

"Damn it! These filthy guys!" Roland cursed as he looked at his foot trapped in the unknown organism. Damn it, I can't keep this foot anymore! Roland was almost sickened to death.

"Sir, let me rinse you." Caslo picked up the water bag and ran over diligently.

"No! Stop... Ugh!" Roland was covered with unknown objects and mud mixed with foul-smelling blood splashed by Caslo's running body.

"I'm going to kill you! Kill you!" Roland went crazy.

"Purification!" A golden light flashed, and the stains on Roland's body dissipated with the golden light.

Wow! What a luxury! Purification is used to clean stains on oneself. This Lei Ye has quite a lot of battle energy!

"Troll Rebellion: Completed! Reward: Holy Battle Spirit, can be upgraded to Paladin! Already issued."

Roland was about to speak when suddenly a sacred aura burst out from the bottom of his heart, which immediately made him hold back his words. The golden battle flame surged and Roland felt unprecedented power, and even his skills changed.

"God bless Lagrang! Congratulations, Lord, on your successful awakening of the Paladin!" Raynor exclaimed excitedly. At that moment, he felt there was hope for the revival of the empire. (The system had implanted in them the memory of the Lagrang Empire's decline, and Raynor being the only remaining Lagrang Lord.)

"Paladin!" Gandalf exclaimed in surprise. You know, not just anyone can be a Paladin. Historically, the Paladin and the Black Knight were a pairing. Where did the Black Knight come from? That's how the Paladin fell. The birth of a Paladin can benefit a region, but it can also sow the seeds of destruction. Now that's interesting, there were two Paladins among a hundred or so people. If one of them fell, everyone would just go crazy. Forget about the expedition, just pack up and run. Paladins are hard to kill, right? With their endless supply of holy magic and skills, they're practically indestructible. You can't out-heal them, and the Black Knight is even harder. Not only can heal, but he can also drain life and restore mana and mana...

Gandalf glanced at the two men, quietly wiping a cold sweat from his forehead. For the first time, he felt that organizing the expedition to the Lonely Mountain was a mistake. As a wizard who had attained divinity, he had lived for thousands of years and had seen everything. The nine Ringwraiths under Sauron were nothing but the Black Knights! When the number one Ringwraith, the Witch-king of Angmar, had wreaked havoc on the Kingdom of Arnor, he had crushed them with overwhelming force!

"Trolls cannot appear in the daytime," said Gandalf, looking at the rising sun.

"That proves there must be a cave nearby!" Thorin's eyes lit up.

"Everyone, look for it!" Roland said loudly while riding on his warhorse.

Soon someone discovered the ogre's cave nearby, and everyone hurriedly followed.

"Damn! The smell in this place is so bright, it's really intoxicating!" Roland covered his nose and was almost drunk.

"Oh, look what I found?" Groin came out holding a small box.

"Wow! They're all gold coins!" Noli said in surprise.

"Oh, there are a bunch of them scattered here. These ogres really don't know how to cherish them." Roland was amazed.

"Put them all away quickly." Roland's face was filled with joy.

"Huh?" Gandalf exclaimed softly, walked to a pile of weapons covered with spider webs, and gently poked them with his staff.

"Clang!" The crisp sound of a long sword being unsheathed was heard, and a flash of silver light shone brightly under the illumination of the torch, dazzling people.

"Damn it! The Enemy Sword—Lagmudrin!" Roland exclaimed. He had been searching for the Three Elven Swords for ages. While they weren't as good as the Dragon Slayer Sword, they would still be a nice addition to his collection. But Roland had no connection to these swords.

"Huh? You know him?" Gandalf asked in surprise.

"Nonsense! The sword of the King of Gondolin." Roland said without thinking.

"Hmm..." Gandalf looked at Roland deeply without saying anything, and casually drew out another sword.

"Puff! Damn beast bite swords - Ocrest..." Roland's face turned black. Among the three elf swords, Roland took a fancy to these two. After all, the Sting, which was exclusive to Master Baggins, looked no different from a bread knife in Roland's hand. It was too short... But Comrade Gandalf still turned them out as history did.

Roland's face darkened. With a wave of his hand, he ordered his men to move all the weapons. While this might seem shameless, the dagger was still quite useful as a self-defense weapon. As for his face? He'd just put it in his pocket for now.

"Dwarf brothers, do you want to change your clothes? These weapons are forged by the Noldor elves, they are very good." Roland kindly reminded.

"No! Let's leave this filthy place!" Thorin got furious when he heard about the elves' weapons, and turned around and left with his men.

Gandalf shrugged and said helplessly: "Thorin, this is the Beast Bite Sword. It is the best weapon we can get now!" After that, he looked at Thorin deeply.

Thorin thought for a moment, then looked up at the mithril hammers on the knights carrying the weapons, and the fine gold weapons and armor of Roland and his men. He swallowed his saliva, and after all, he could not escape the law of true fragrance, and obediently took the weapons. The remaining dwarves also happily ran to the pile of weapons to pick them up, just like the aunties buying vegetables in the market.

"Bilber! This is for you!" Gandalf came out of the cave and handed Bilber a dagger.

Roland took one look and nearly fainted. "I've already cleared the area below, and it didn't stop you from grabbing the three elven swords. Just how unlucky am I to have these three weapons? Is it not okay for a Lord of the Rings fan like me to want to collect some famous swords?" Roland muttered, his mind filled with the word "bad luck."

"No, I can't have it. In fact, I have never used a sword or other weapon." Bilber waved his hands in panic to refuse.

"Baggins, this is a magic weapon forged by elves. When orcs approach, the blade will emit a dark blue light..." Gandalf introduced.

"I hope you never have to use it... But when you do, remember that the true meaning of courage lies not in taking life, but in sparing it."
