Chapter 62: New landmines have arrived!

Gu Lina Zha stood up, feeling the weight of the weighted suit on her body.

The oppressive heaviness she had felt before now transformed into a sweet burden.

This was his love, his protection.

She wanted to carry this love and become stronger.

Gu Lina Zha took a deep breath, adjusting her breathing.

She started jogging along the tree-lined path in the villa area.

Each step she took was more resolute than the last.

Sweat trickled down her forehead and cheeks.

This was no longer a reluctant cultivation.

This was her promise to him, every step towards their future.

At the same time, at the Megakaryocyte Special Operations Group base.

A deep-green military truck, with a heavy engine roar, slowly pulled up to the main gate of the base.

The truck bore the military factory's serial number, and its cargo bed was tightly covered with thick canvas, giving it a mysterious and solemn appearance.

The sentry at the gate stepped forward, strictly verifying the identification and passage permits.

A driver in a work uniform jumped out of the cab, his face showing the fatigue of a long journey.

But his eyes gleamed with excitement.

"Comrade, who are you looking for?" The sentry's voice was loud and alert.

"I'm looking for Captain Lu Mingyu; I'm here to deliver a batch of new equipment by order."

The driver handed over a stamped transfer order.

The sentry reported through the internal communication system.

Not long after, a tall and imposing figure walked over from the training ground.

It was Lu Mingyu, the Captain of the Megakaryocyte Special Operations Group.

Seeing him, the driver immediately stood at attention, a look of respect on his face.

"Captain Lu."

Lu Mingyu nodded, his gaze sweeping over the military truck.

"Did the items arrive?" His voice was deep, devoid of any superfluous emotion.

"Yes, Captain Lu." The driver quickly handed over the receipt and a pen.

"Please sign for them."

Lu Mingyu took the receipt, his gaze falling on the item name column.

"New remote-controlled landmines?"

"Yes, those are the latest ones developed by the military factory."

The driver's tone was full of pride as he mentioned them.

"These are our own excellent products; their performance is absolutely world-class."

Lu Mingyu's eyebrows raised slightly; this was a subtle change in his expression.

He looked up at the driver.

"How many?"

The driver gestured with his fingers, then, finding it imprecise, simply stated directly.

"This batch, a total of one thousand five hundred units."

He paused, then added a clarification.

"The first batch, nine hundred units, has just been produced and fully loaded onto the truck."

"Three hundred units are being sent here, and the rest will be delivered to several other brother Special Forces Brigades for simultaneous testing."

"The military factory said that once the test data from the first batch is feedbacked."

"After verifying stability and reliability, production will immediately be ramped up."

Lu Mingyu listened, feeling very pleased as well.

For special forces soldiers like them, who walk on the edge of a knife.

Excellent equipment means a higher mission success rate and stronger survival assurance.

He signed his name, Lu Mingyu, with a flourish on the receipt.

Then he handed the receipt back to the driver.

"Drive the truck to Warehouse Number Three."

After telling the driver, he turned to the team members who were undergoing physical training not far away.

"Li Long, Zhang Biao, bring a few people over."

Two team members, who were in the middle of a weighted sprint, immediately stopped and responded loudly.

"Yes, Captain!"

They called out to a few comrades and quickly ran over, their movements neat and decisive, without any hesitation.

Following the instructions, the driver slowly drove the truck into the base and parked it at the designated Warehouse Number Three entrance.

Lu Mingyu led the team members over.

He lifted the canvas cover of the truck's rear compartment, revealing rows of dark green boxes neatly stacked inside.

The boxes were marked with prominent skull and explosion symbols.

"Unload the items and move them all into the warehouse," Lu Mingyu commanded.

"Count the quantity, verify the serial numbers, and record them for storage."

"Yes!" The team members responded in unison.

They began to move, easily lifting heavy military wooden crates off the truck.

Among them, Li Long excitedly whispered while moving a box.

"Holy cow, are these the legendary 'ground bombs'? I finally get to see them in person."

"I heard this thing is super smart; it can identify friend and foe signals."

"And it can be remotely detonated and disarmed, much better than the old stuff we're using now."

Another team member, Zhang Biao, also lowered his voice, his face showing unconcealed excitement.

"Exactly! With this batch of treasures, the next time we go to the Southwest border for a Eliminate mission."

"Let's see how those scorpions play hide-and-seek with us."

"We'll just set up a net of heaven and earth on their inevitable path."

"Once they come in, we just press a button and let them taste what 'heavenly justice' means."

"Then it won't be us chasing them anymore."

"It'll be us driving them into the minefield; just thinking about it feels exhilarating."

The team members discussed animatedly, one after another.

These new landmines were not just weapons to them.

They were also a guarantee that their comrades would shed less blood during missions.

Lu Mingyu listened to their discussions without interrupting.

He knew what excited his comrades.

He also looked forward to the practical performance of this new equipment.

He watched the team members safely move the last box of landmines into the warehouse before speaking.

"Starting tomorrow, conduct comprehensive tests on this batch of landmines."

"Environmental adaptability, fuse reliability, anti-interference capability, and destructive power assessment—every project must be done in the most detailed way."

"Record all test data and form a complete evaluation report."

"In half a month, I will personally hand it over to the military factory."

"Yes, Captain!" The team members responded in unison again, their voices full of enthusiasm.

Lu Mingyu nodded and turned to leave the warehouse.

He needed to report this matter to the Commander.

Crossing the wide training ground, Lu Mingyu entered the base's command building.

He went directly to the Commander's office on the second floor, straightened his combat uniform, and raised his hand to knock on the door.

"Knock, knock, knock."

"Come in." A steady, deep voice came from inside.

Lu Mingyu pushed the door open.

Inside the office, the Commander of the Cheetah Special Forces Brigade was sitting behind his desk, reviewing a document.

He was nearly fifty, with temples slightly frosted, but his back was ramrod straight, and the iron-blooded aura of a soldier on him had not diminished in the slightest.

Seeing Lu Mingyu enter, he put down his pen and looked up.

"Mingyu, come in, have a seat."

"Commander." Lu Mingyu saluted but did not sit down.

"The new items from the military factory have arrived."

The Commander's eyes lit up.

"Oh? That batch of 'ground bombs'?"

"Yes, the first batch of nine hundred units; three hundred were allocated to us and have already been put into storage," Lu Mingyu reported concisely.

"Good, very good." The Commander nodded with satisfaction.

"These are the painstaking efforts of the experts at the military research institute, and they will be an important reliance for us on future battlefields."

"Tell the team members not to be afraid of breaking them during testing; they must push them to their limits for me."

"Simulate all extreme environments and find out all possible problems for me."

"What I want is the most real and reliable data, not a beautiful hymn of praise."
