Chapter 10: First campus life

From the moment she got into the car, Kumi Trainer had been deep in thought.

It wasn't until they were almost at their destination that she suddenly spoke up:

"Miss, future training can be conducted directly at the Central Tracen Academy's training grounds. It's not only convenient but also offers a wider range of training equipment."

Polaris Glacier thought about it and felt it was a good idea. School ended at 3 PM, and she could then head directly to the training grounds behind the teaching building.

"That works. I'll go directly after class. By the way, Kumi Trainer, what are your plans?"

"As for me, I'll probably be in the Trainer's office, revising Miss's training plan."

Kumi had her own seat, or rather, workstation. Although she hadn't been to the Trainer's office in a while, her spot should still be there.

"Okay, I'll come find you if anything comes up."

Soon, the car stopped near the Central Tracen Academy's main gate. The Old Butler once again got out first and opened the car door for his Miss.

Polaris Glacier gracefully stepped out. Many Horse Girl in school uniforms were passing by, all turning their gazes towards her.

"That girl is so pretty, do you know who she is?"

"I haven't seen her before, she must be a new student."

"Her aura is amazing, I really want to see her run."

"There will be a chance sooner or later."

The feeling of being watched was, well, quite peculiar. Polaris Glacier instinctively put on a smile befitting her Miss persona.

"Good morning, Polaris Glacier."

Miss Junchuan stood by the Central Tracen Academy's main gate, smiling and greeting every student. Upon seeing Polaris Glacier arrive, she also smiled and said hello.

"Good morning."

Polaris Glacier nodded, noticing that Kumi Trainer hadn't immediately followed. After a moment's thought, she decided Kumi Trainer might have some concerns, so she didn't wait and entered the Central Tracen Academy first.

This time, she wasn't an outsider but a student of the Central Tracen Academy, and the feeling was quite different.

She had a matching single-shoulder bag on her right shoulder, filled with stationery and textbooks.

She walked past the Three Goddess statues, entered the teaching building, and following the floor plan on the wall, successfully found her class on the second floor.

Taking a slight deep breath, Polaris Glacier slowly pulled open the classroom door. As her gaze swept inside, the eyes of the other Horse Girl in the classroom also immediately turned towards her.

"I am Polaris Glacier, a new student today. Please take care of me."

The Miss persona immediately came into play. Polaris Glacier put on what she considered a very suitable smile, bowed, and completed her self-introduction.

However, perhaps due to lingering nervousness, she unconsciously released Polaris Glare's chilling aura, causing all the Horse Girl present to shiver instantly.

"Releasing your aura right off the bat, can I take that as a challenge?"

The first to respond to her was a somewhat low voice. Polaris Glacier locked her gaze and found it was a Horse Girl with long brown hair and a white highlight on her forehead that looked like a shooting star.

"May I ask who you are?"

"My name is Sirius Symboli, just call me Sirius." Sirius Symboli's lips curved into a smile as she stepped forward, hands on her hips, and announced her name.

"Sirius? I see. You can call me Polaris or Absolute Speed, either is fine."

Polaris Glacier nodded, secretly thanking the other party for rescuing her from what could have been an awkward silence.

To this, she extended her right hand, and Sirius Symboli unhesitatingly clasped it.

"Polaris, that Polaris Glare's chilling aura of yours is very interesting. Would you like to run a race with me sometime?"

"Gladly, Sirius."

It went unexpectedly smoothly. She must have made a friend now, right? By the way, Sirius's voice has a special charm. She must be quite popular among the Horse Girl.

"Ding ~ dong ~ ding ~ dong ~"

Just then, the bell signaling the start of class suddenly rang, and the teacher immediately pulled open the door and entered the classroom.

Seeing the teacher arrive, the students consciously returned to their seats. Sirius Symboli was no exception, and Polaris Glacier greeted the teacher:

"Good morning, Teacher. I am Polaris Glacier, a new student."

The teacher was a young woman, not tall, with a very gentle smile on her face.

"Good morning, Polaris Glacier."

She nodded upon hearing this, then looked at the other students and tentatively asked:

"Everyone should already know Polaris Glacier, right? She will be studying with us for the foreseeable future. I hope you all get along well."

"So, Polaris Glacier, please take that seat."

Following the direction the teacher indicated, it was the rearmost seat in the middle. Everyone's seats were separated; there were no desk mates.

"Okay." Polaris Glacier immediately walked over and, after sitting down, hung her single-shoulder bag on the hook on the side of the desk.

She tried looking at the blackboard and found that her height was sufficient; she wasn't blocked by the students in front.

"If there are no problems, then we'll begin class now."

The teacher said, specifically checking Polaris Glacier's expression. Finding nothing unusual, she turned around and began writing with chalk.

And after the teacher turned around, the Horse Girl in the front desk suddenly turned her head, pointed at herself, and softly said:

"Mihono Bourbon, nice to meet you."

Polaris Glacier nodded, returning a friendly smile.

After that, there were no more interruptions, and the class finished very smoothly.

What they learned wasn't difficult, just normal middle school knowledge, plus a few small quizzes related to races.

During the break, Sirius Symboli purposefully approached, asking several questions with great interest:

"Polaris, which dorm are you in? Do you have a Trainer yet?"

Mihono Bourbon, at the front desk, also turned around. Her face was expressionless, but her eyes looked on with curiosity.

"I don't live in a dorm; I commute. Yes, I have a Trainer; they were arranged by my family."

The Head Maid contacted her, so saying it was arranged by her family should be fine.

"Is that so, Polaris? Are you a Miss from somewhere?"

"You could say that. My family is quite well-off."

Polaris Glacier replied, then suddenly thought of something and asked:

"By the way, Sirius, and Mihono Bourbon, have you had your debut races yet?"

She and these two should be of similar age. If they hadn't had their debut races yet, then she shouldn't have any issues with debuting too late.

Rudolph Symboli and Maruzensky had both asked the same question that day, which had left her a bit confused.

"Not yet."

"No, not yet."

The two replied one after another. Sirius Symboli shook her head, while Mihono Bourbon conveyed a negative meaning with her eyes.

It seems there's no problem; she can rest assured.

"But it's coming soon. We'll probably be preparing for our debuts between July and August, right during the summer training camp."

Sirius Symboli crossed her arms, a confident smile appearing on her face.

"Me too, more or less. After my debut and a few more races, I'll start preparing for the Classic races."

Mihono Bourbon lowered her head slightly, her eyes filled with thoughts.

"What about you, Polaris? When do you plan to debut?"

Upon hearing this, Polaris Glacier replied with a frank expression:

"Next week."

"?" Sirius Symboli paused slightly, then fell silent.

"?!" Mihono Bourbon's eyes widened slightly, and her usually expressionless face showed a slight crack in its composure.

"Won't that be too early? Polaris, have you been training for a long time?"

"Not at all. Formal training only began yesterday."

Though she said formal training, it was only about two hours of slow jogging.

"Huh? So you're very confident in your talent and ability, then?" Sirius Symboli lowered her arms, and a subtle change occurred in her eyes.

"Confidence, of course, I have it. By the way, it's a terrible thing for a Horse Girl to lack confidence, isn't it?"

"Polaris, you..."

Mihono Bourbon wanted to say something, but the class bell unluckily rang, so she had to give up for now. Sirius Symboli also returned to her seat.

During lunch break, Polaris Glacier, Sirius Symboli, and Mihono Bourbon formed a trio and headed towards the cafeteria together.

She was very interested in the Central Tracen Academy's cafeteria, and this was a good opportunity to experience the so-called free buffet style.

As long as nothing was wasted, you could take whatever you wanted to eat. The head chef had even boldly declared that no one was allowed to leave the cafeteria hungry.

Since she didn't have any specific ideas, Polaris Glacier basically took whatever looked delicious.

Unconsciously, she piled up a lot of food, and the plates gradually filled the table, leaving Sirius Symboli and Mihono Bourbon stunned.

Finally, scooping up a bowl of fried rice, Polaris Glacier at last stopped and sat down in a chair.

"Polaris, can you really eat all that?"

"I should be able to. Don't let my appearance fool you; I actually have quite a big appetite."

Since the last time Maruzensky treated her to a large amount of sweets, Polaris Glacier had discovered the special nature of her body. Specifically, her stomach was like a bottomless pit; as long as it was food she liked, she could keep eating.

And the energy converted from the food she ate would be promptly supplied to all parts of her body, making her bones and muscles stronger.

Without further explanation, Polaris Glacier took a deep breath and officially began her fast yet elegant eating spree.

Watching her actions, Sirius Symboli and Mihono Bourbon suddenly exchanged glances, both seeing the shock in each other's eyes.

"Polaris... so strong!"

"Polaris Glacier, how astonishing!"

Withdrawing their gazes, they silently ate their respective meals, each with their own thoughts.

After eating most of her food, Polaris Glacier slowed her movements, then thought for a moment and tentatively suggested:

"Sirius, Mihono Bourbon, would you like to have a parallel run after school this afternoon?"

"Parallel run? Of course, I've wanted to do that with you for a long time, Polaris."

Sirius Symboli immediately agreed upon hearing this. She hadn't forgotten the Polaris Glare's chilling aura that had assailed her during their first meeting.

Although Mihono Bourbon didn't speak, her eyes were already brimming with the flames of battle.

Seeing this, Polaris Glacier's eyes also gradually crystallized with frost, and she said with a smile:

"Then it's settled."
