Chapter 11: Once again running side by side

Polaris Absolute Speed ate this meal with great satisfaction; it was arguably the most satisfying meal she had had in recent days.

After devouring all the dishes that had been served earlier, she went back for several more servings, to the point where the chef took notice of her.

After that, whenever she approached, the chef would proactively start serving her food, with a strange look of challenge in his eyes, as if his profession had been challenged.

Sirius Symboli and Mihono Bourbon witnessed the entire process, their expressions completely numb; they watched Polaris Absolute Speed's stomach, which showed no signs of swelling, and gradually fell into contemplation.

The surrounding Horse Girl also occasionally glanced over, their eyes filled with unconcealable shock.

It's unclear who started it, but after asking Polaris Absolute Speed if she minded being on camera and receiving an affirmative answer, people began taking photos and videos with their phones and uploading them to Jun Yu Circle.

Some even egged her on, predicting how high the stack of serving plates could get, while others, with friendly intentions, came over to try and get to know Polaris Absolute Speed, asking her how she managed to eat so quickly and elegantly, and so on.

"What's going on? Why is everyone gathered in one spot?"

When Maruzensky and Rudolph Symboli, who had just finished handling documents, arrived at the cafeteria, they saw this somewhat chaotic scene.

Noticing the Student Council President's arrival, the Horse Girl immediately hushed, and the crowd quickly dispersed, retreating to the side, revealing the blue-haired Polaris Glacier at the center of the commotion.

Polaris Absolute Speed also noticed the change in atmosphere and turned her head back in confusion, her chopsticks still holding a half-eaten croquette.

"Polaris?!"

Maruzensky was the first to speak; she gasped when she saw the exceptionally high stack of plates on the table in front of Polaris Absolute Speed.

However, she quickly recovered and, smiling, let out a sigh of relief:

"So that's what it is. These children gathered together made me think something had happened. Polaris is really popular."

As she spoke, she glanced at Rudolph Symboli beside her, signaling with her eyes, hoping she would say something to clear up the misunderstanding and, incidentally, deal with the current awkward atmosphere.

Unexpectedly, Rudolph Symboli didn't respond; instead, she looked at Polaris Absolute Speed with a thoughtful expression, muttering something under her breath.

Maruzensky felt puzzled and leaned in closer to listen carefully, realizing she was saying:

"Strange, how did she do it? How can she eat so much food and her stomach remain the same?"

This question wasn't just Rudolph Symboli's; almost all the Horse Girl present had the same thought.

How did she do it? This is too unusual!

"Isn't that the Emperor? What, you even have to control how much one eats?"

The one who finally broke the awkward silence was not Polaris Absolute Speed, nor Maruzensky, nor Rudolph Symboli herself, but Sirius Symboli, who had stood up at some point.

At this moment, Sirius Symboli was like a startled cat, her ears perked up, her arms crossed, glaring at Rudolph Symboli with an unfriendly expression.

Hearing her voice, Rudolph Symboli also came back to her senses.

She looked at Sirius Symboli, then at Mihono Bourbon and Polaris Absolute Speed, who were sitting at the same table as her, and then smiled and said:

"What, isn't this Sirius?"

"Polaris Absolute Speed has just arrived at the academy, and as the Student Council President, I naturally need to take good care of her. I wouldn't restrict her just for eating a bit more, after all, the cafeteria allows you to eat as much as you want."

"If that's the case, then why don't you hurry and get some food? Are you standing here to display the Emperor's authority?" Sirius Symboli wagged her tail, her gaze shifting slightly.

Seeing this, the smile on Rudolph Symboli's lips widened slightly, and she said nothing more, signaling Maruzensky with her eyes, and the two walked towards the other side.

Maruzensky smiled and waved at Polaris Absolute Speed before leaving, and Polaris Absolute Speed nodded slightly in response.

After the Student Council President moved away, the surrounding Horse Girl also did not gather around again, instead dispersing.

However, everyone secretly remembered that very hungry blue-haired Polaris Glacier named Polaris Absolute Speed.

"Polaris, how much longer are you planning to eat?"

After sitting down again, Sirius Symboli reminded her, somewhat exasperated; if this continued, it would truly feel endless.

Mihono Bourbon also cast her gaze over, her tail wagging slightly, growing a little impatient.

Polaris Absolute Speed had just finished her last croquette at that moment. Hearing this, she put down her chopsticks, wiped her mouth with a tissue, and replied:

"I'll stop here for now. I'm pretty much tired of most of the cafeteria's dishes. I probably won't eat for this long next time."

She paused, took a breath, and then stood up.

"Let's go."

It was three o'clock in the afternoon. When the bell rang for class to end and the teacher made an announcement, the Horse Girl left the classroom one after another.

The three, Polaris Absolute Speed, who had already agreed to do a parallel run, also went together to the training ground behind the teaching building.

Incidentally, Kumi Trainer also came; she was called over to be the referee.

When she learned that her young lady was going to do a parallel run with other Horse Girl again, her excitement also soared, and she even brought a tablet computer, saying she wanted to collect more data and so on.

And Rudolph Symboli, who had received the news from who knows where, was also standing on the side at this moment, arms crossed, looking as if she was inspecting.

Maruzensky naturally followed along; in fact, being able to see Polaris Absolute Speed run again, even if Rudolph Symboli hadn't come, she would have definitely come.

Under the influence of these two "big figures," Horse Girl gradually noticed this side, and the news spread through word of mouth without them realizing it.

"Is that...Polaris Absolute Speed, the junior? The one from the cafeteria."

"Yes, she is! Is she going to run a training race? Even President Rudolf is here; it looks very interesting."

Regardless of the reactions of other Horse Girl, the three of them, Polaris Absolute Speed, had all changed into their athletic wear and were doing warm-up exercises.

"Polaris, in this parallel run, I will use all the strength I currently possess. You must also give it your all."

Sirius Symboli stretched her leg, but her gaze was not on Polaris Absolute Speed; instead, it was directed towards Rudolph Symboli.

"I will. In fact, I will always give my all against any opponent." Ice gradually condensed in Polaris Absolute Speed's eyes, and Polaris Glare's chilling aura was already brewing around her.

"That's even better."

Mihono Bourbon quietly glanced at the two. Being a person of few words, she didn't force herself to assert her presence, as for Horse Girl, many emotions can actually be conveyed through running together.

"I will too, give it my all."

Soon, the three were ready and stood behind the starting line marked on the grass.

Kumi Trainer stepped forward and briefly explained the race rules:

"Running one lap around the training field counts as finished. My position is the finish line."

She paused, raised a hand, and loudly signaled:

"Ready!"

Each took their pre-run stance, Polaris Glare's chilling aura around Polaris Absolute Speed was already fully charged.

"Three!"

Rudolph Symboli on the side narrowed her eyes slightly, her gaze fixed on the spreading Polaris Glare's chilling aura, her thoughts fluctuating.

"Two!"

Maruzensky was still smiling, as if she had already anticipated something.

"One!"

Sirius Symboli and Mihono Bourbon's bodies suddenly trembled. Their previously focused minds abruptly scattered, simply because the biting Polaris Glare's chilling aura assailing them from all directions suddenly enveloped them.

"Go!"

Polaris Absolute Speed pushed off with her right foot, and her entire body shot forward at an extremely fast speed, instantly pulling several horse lengths ahead of those behind her with her extraordinary acceleration.

Sirius Symboli and Mihono Bourbon both paused for a moment, then, realizing what happened, quickly started running in close pursuit.

"Oh? Is that..."

"That's right, that's Polaris's unique aura interference at the start of a race."

Maruzensky explained, glancing slightly at Rudolph Symboli.

"Even I've suffered from that move."

Rudolph Symboli secretly noted it down, then thought for a moment and continued:

"Speaking of which, her starting acceleration is excellent. To be able to reach that speed in such a short time, combined with the aura interference..."

"I'm afraid in future races, it will be difficult for any Horse Girl to get out of the gate ahead of her and take the lead position."

Polaris Absolute Speed still used an escape strategy this time, or rather, a grand escape strategy, because she went full speed from the start and had no intention of slowing down at all.

Polaris Glare's chilling aura automatically drifted backward, and Sirius Symboli and Mihono Bourbon felt their bodies becoming stiffer, knowing that maintaining their current speed would only accelerate their stamina depletion.

Keep in mind, it had just begun! If they ran out of stamina and lost speed, they would truly have no chance of catching up and winning.

"Damn it, what's with this continuous cold? Is it caused by Polaris's aura?"

Sirius Symboli looked at Polaris Absolute Speed, who was getting further and further ahead, then glanced back at Mihono Bourbon, who was right behind her. Gritting her teeth, she finally chose to accelerate, attempting to catch up to the blue-haired Polaris Glacier ahead.

"If Polaris pulls too far ahead, even with excellent final strides, it might be difficult to catch up. Here, it really is..."

Seeing this, Mihono Bourbon, who was slightly behind, her eyes flashed with thought, keenly noticing that the influence of the cold was gradually weakening as the distance from Polaris Absolute Speed increased.

"The further away, the weaker the effect. A chase strategy is probably the most appropriate way to deal with the cold."

"But if that's the case..."

She cast her gaze forward, noticing the blue-haired Polaris Glacier's condition; her breathing wasn't at all erratic, as if maintaining her current speed was nothing to her and she could sustain it for a very long time.

"Polaris Absolute Speed's speed is not slow at all, and she seems to have plenty of stamina. Although my final strides are decent, I still feel like I don't have much confidence in even catching up."

"What should I do?"

The three entered the bend one after another. Maruzensky, watching this scene, suddenly spoke:

"Although I didn't think they could win against Polaris before we started, seeing the current situation, I still feel a bit emotional."

Rudolph Symboli didn't respond; her brow had unconsciously furrowed. She was clearly putting herself in the training field, thinking about how to break through that layer of Polaris Glare's chilling aura.

After passing the bend, Polaris Absolute Speed felt a sense of liberation. Her body's center of gravity instinctively lowered, and her speed began to increase.

"What?! You can still accelerate, Polaris!"

Sirius Symboli, who was behind, saw this, and her pupils suddenly constricted. The distance between them did not close; instead, it widened further.

At the same time, due to accelerating while enduring Polaris Glare's chilling aura, her stamina was already largely depleted, and a bad premonition gradually emerged in her heart.

She glanced at Mihono Bourbon behind her, and seeing her unhurried expression and pace, she quickly understood her opponent's approach.

"I see, saving energy for a final sprint."

However, Mihono Bourbon herself was not as relaxed as Sirius Symboli thought; her so-called chase strategy was, after all, only a reluctant attempt.

With the stamina she saved, there was a high possibility of catching up to Sirius Symboli later, but to catch up to the blue-haired Polaris Glacier at the very front...

"Not on the same level...Polaris Absolute Speed...so strong!"

Such a thought emerged in Mihono Bourbon's mind. If there was still a glimmer of hope of overtaking before Polaris Absolute Speed accelerated, then now, she had to admit that the other party and herself were completely not on the same level of existence.

Is Polaris Absolute Speed really in the elementary division like herself? Did she really just start formal training yesterday, as she said?

With this kind of strength, even participating in major races, participating in G1 races, would be completely sufficient.

Gritting her teeth, the fighting spirit in her eyes suddenly surged anew, and at the same time, a thought also deepened within her heart.

"I want to catch up, I want to catch up to that figure! I'm not going to give up just like this!"

On the bend before the final straight, Sirius Symboli, as expected, lost speed.

Having not undergone extensive training, she truly had no more stamina left at this point. From now on, she could only rely on sheer grit.

Just then, a figure rapidly burst out from the outer lane, overtaking Sirius Symboli in one swift motion and sprinting towards the front.

"Oh, oh, here she comes. Whether you can catch Polaris is up to you."

A smile appeared on Sirius Symboli's lips. She thought that she had been careless this time and hadn't found a suitable way to deal with that chilling aura.

"But next time, I definitely will..."

Shifting the view forward, Mihono Bourbon was breathing heavily, striving to catch up.

However, the reality was that Polaris Absolute Speed, who had passed the bend first, accelerated once again, and even performed a second acceleration on the final straight.

Any hope of overtaking, at least at this moment, was completely nonexistent. The gap widened further, and she finished the parallel run with a complete lead.

The atmosphere around them was somewhat silent. Mihono Bourbon lay directly on the ground after crossing the finish line, gasping for air, while Sirius Symboli had almost jogged across the finish line at the very end, leaning on her knees and also breathing heavily.

Most of the Horse Girl who had watched the entire race were now focused on Polaris Absolute Speed, their gazes filled with either curiosity or fighting spirit.

In response, the blue-haired Polaris Glacier showed no reaction, merely tilting her head slightly to look at the sky, her thoughts stirring.

"It's a pity I didn't experience the feeling of being closely pursued like last time when I ran with Maruzensky."
