Chapter 26: Study wind-style ninjutsu

Having to feign ignorance twice and then feign interest, Feng Zheng was a bit tired.

He decided not to eat his ration bars anymore and instead went to Ichiraku Ramen for lunch.

His thought was, “Damn, I’ve saved a lot of money; I need to treat myself well today!”

After lunch, he began learning the Shadow Clone Technique.

After carefully reading the scroll, he thought, “This is undoubtedly the most difficult Ninjutsu I’ve ever seen.

The process of shaping Chakra is very complex.

It’s strange how that kid learned it in less than a day!

However, this Shadow Clone is more flexible than the Shadow Clone in Naruto.”

The Chakra of this Shadow Clone does not necessarily have to be evenly distributed among each clone.

The percentage of Chakra each clone must possess depends on the caster’s will and ability.

He can create an equivalent amount of Chakra to conceal himself, or he can give more or less Chakra as needed.

Another difference is that dispelling a Shadow Clone does not return all of its Chakra to the original body.

Instead, some Chakra loss occurs during this process.

However, as he masters the Ninjutsu, this loss will decrease but never drop to zero.

So, in the future, he needs to be mindful of the number of Shadow Clones he creates, otherwise, his Chakra will quickly be depleted.

After finishing his analysis, he began practicing the Shadow Clone Technique.

Understanding the Basic Ninjutsu was still a little helpful.

The training continued for some time.

Feng Zheng noticed that his Chakra was consumed very quickly during this training.

He could only train for an hour before his Chakra was depleted.

So, starting from the next day, he began practicing the Shadow Clone Technique first thing in the morning, then at noon, and finally once more in the evening, for a total of three hours of training per day.

The remaining time was spent either on Taijutsu training or Meditation.

He also carried a few leaves with him.

By the ninth day, he was finally able to create a Shadow Clone.

Feng Zheng found that while shaping the Chakra was relatively difficult, casting it was much easier than the Body Flicker Technique.

Six more days passed, and he was finally able to create an acceptable Shadow Clone.

It was identical and took half of his Chakra.

However, in his perception, Feng Zheng found that during the creation of the Shadow Clone, some Chakra was lost, resulting in a slight reduction in the clone’s Chakra amount.

This was unacceptable.

But he decided to test the clone first.

He had the Shadow Clone enter the bedroom, write down any number somewhere, and then dispel it.

The Shadow Clone walked into the bedroom and wrote 8196 on a scroll.

After dispelling it, Feng Zheng received all the information and verified if it was true.

He thought, “Hmm, this works well.”

He then created another Shadow Clone.

This time, he used a kunai to stab the Shadow Clone’s arm, causing the clone to dissipate.

He waited a few seconds and then concluded, “Good, I just got the clone’s memories.

But the pain wasn’t transferred to me.

So this Ninjutsu should be safe to use in combat.”

Then he created a Shadow Clone again, this time having the clone perform three Basic Ninjutsu.

The Shadow Clone performed these tasks as well as he could.

He couldn’t test the Body Flicker Technique at home, so he decided to test it later.

Then he had the Shadow Clone perform the Shadow Clone Technique.

The clone also succeeded.

But the next second, both were dispelled.

Feng Zheng felt that their Chakra was very unstable.

After thinking about it, he came to a conclusion.

“The Shadow Clones were dispelled because they didn’t have enough Chakra.

Although Ninja can create Shadow Clones with a small amount of Chakra, Shadow Clones still need to have a certain minimum Chakra level.”

And Feng Zheng’s single Shadow Clone barely exceeded this limit.

Did this mean that after using some Ninjutsu, his Shadow Clone, even with some Chakra, would disappear due to insufficient Chakra?

This conclusion alarmed him.

He quickly rushed into a nearby small forest.

After transforming and confirming that no one was around, he created a Shadow Clone.

Knowing the execution plan, the Shadow Clone began to perform the Body Flicker Technique again and again within the main body’s Chakra Field, while also recording the main body’s Chakra level.

The Shadow Clone possessed about 49% of Feng Zheng’s Chakra.

When it dropped below 41%, the Shadow Clone dissipated.

After confirming his suspicion, Feng Zheng sighed.

“Now, it seems impossible for Shadow Clones to assist me in practicing Ninjutsu.

But honestly, it doesn’t really matter, because I can’t last long in Ninjutsu training before my Chakra runs out.”

After complaining for half a minute about his insufficient Chakra reserves, he decided, “Well, it doesn’t matter.

This was expected.

I hope that someday in the future, I’ll be able to use Shadow Clones for training!

For now, I just need to diligently learn this Ninjutsu!”

Over the next five days, he had learned the Shadow Clone Technique to an acceptable degree.

Now, there was no Chakra loss during the formation of the Shadow Clone.

As for the Chakra loss when retrieving Chakra from the Shadow Clone, it was around 5%.

Feng Zheng noticed that this loss was rapidly decreasing.

After completing his Shadow Clone training, he decided it was time to start practicing elemental Ninjutsu.

However, he decided to wait another ten days before returning the scroll to Hiruzen.

This way, Hiruzen would slightly underestimate his talent.

---

On the 21st day of his vacation, Feng Zheng went to the Library.

Along the way, he thought a lot about Wind Release Ninjutsu.

His thoughts were, “Finally, I’m going to start learning Wind Release Ninjutsu.

In the Naruto series, the Wind Release is probably the weakest element.

Although Naruto has Wind Release, all he uses is the Rasenshuriken.

Temari does have a lot of Ninjutsu, but she uses a giant fan!

Kakuzu uses Wind Release: Pressure Damage, which is very destructive.”

“There’s also Wind Release: Great Breakthrough used by Orochimaru, and perhaps Wind Release: Gale Palm used by others.

Finally, the Vacuum Ninjutsu used by Danzo is also very destructive.

It’s a pity that, apart from Temari, no one else specializes in Wind Release Ninjutsu.

And the number of Wind Release Ninjutsu is also very small.”

Fortunately, however, there are many Wind Release Ninjutsu in this world.

Feng Zheng might be able to build a complete combat system with it.

Last time he only read their titles, but this time Feng Zheng was going to read their scrolls.

Then he would organize a list of Ninjutsu to practice.

However, this time Feng Zheng still hoped to read descriptions of higher-level Wind Release Ninjutsu, which would be very helpful in making decisions.

Upon arriving there, he browsed through sections E and D and listed all the Wind Release Ninjutsu he could train.

They were:

Gale Technique (E)

Wind Clone Technique (E)

Wind Levitation Technique (E)

Projectile Control Technique (E)

Wind Stealing Technique (E)

Gale Surge (D)

Breakthrough Technique (D)

Dust Cloud Technique (D)

Wind Cutter Technique (D)

Wind Blast Technique (D)

Wind Push Technique (D)
