Chapter 7: go home

Li Su quietly listened to the man opposite him, who was essentially explaining that the apocalypse had arrived, and he and a group of people were hiding in this building.

Many things had happened during that time; his companions had died one after another, and now he was the only one left, barely clinging to life here.

Li Su asked, puzzled, "Then what did you eat to survive?"

The black-haired man named Mike showed a sorrowful expression and said, "Of course, I ate canned food. This building happened to have a lot of canned food stockpiled."

"Let me show you my collection," Mike said, then stood up and motioned for Li Su to follow.

Li Su rubbed his brow and said, "It took me a lot of effort to get here. Let me rest for one night, and I'll see your collection tomorrow."

Mike's steps faltered, and he forced a smile, saying, "Then you can rest in this room tonight. I'll be next door, so you can call me if anything happens."

Li Su closed the door and let out a sigh of relief. He had flown for nearly a day to reach this City.

He immediately chose this tall building as his resting place and began searching upwards from the first floor.

Halfway through his search, he saw this man and was enthusiastically invited by him to chat here for half a day.

He had been in this world for about two months, and aside from the protagonist's group, this was the first living person he had met.

This person was very enthusiastic, but also quite stingy; after chatting for so long, he hadn't even offered a glass of water.

He activated his Perception Domain and carefully searched the room. He only relaxed after finding nothing suspicious.

He took out two small pieces of bread, which were the last of his food. He would leave here tomorrow after dealing with the zombies.

At this moment, Mike was also preparing his dinner: a slice of black bread.

Mike looked at the food in his hand with great hesitation. This was his last supply. He then glanced at the pistol beside him, wondering whether or not to do it.

Early the next morning, Li Su was awakened by a knock on the door. After releasing his Perception Domain and not sensing any danger, he removed the stones blocking the doors and windows.

Li Su opened the door and saw a haggard-looking Mike, who simply said, "Something wrong?"

Mike's right hand moved towards his waist and he said, "Do you remember what I said last night? I was going to take you to see my collection."

Li Su looked as if he had just realized, saying, "I completely forgot which way to go?" With that, Li Su walked forward.

Mike slowly took his hand off his waist and said, "It's the very first room, the door isn't locked."

Li Su heard this and walked forward, pushing open the door. The room was very clean and displayed many cold weapons, with various knives being the most numerous.

Looking at these knives, Li Su couldn't help but say, "You like knives too."

Mike saw the man pushing open the door ahead, placed his hand on his waist, felt the gun grip, and upon hearing the other's voice, quickly released his hand.

He said proudly, "I've loved cold weapons since I was a child, especially knives. These cost me ninety percent of my savings before the apocalypse to collect."

After speaking, Mike also walked into the room, a fierce glint flashing in his eyes, and he drew the pistol from his waist.

Li Su picked up a two-meter-long Zhanmadao and said, "I also really like knives. Can you give me this one?"

Upon hearing this, the fierce glint in Mike's eyes receded. He dropped the pistol, a smile appearing on his face, and said, "I also really like this knife, but I agree."

Li Su heard the sound of the gun hitting the ground but didn't turn back, a smile also appearing on his face. He said, "There's a return gift for you in my room," and with that, he walked out with the knife.

With his Perception Domain active, the man's every move was under his observation. If he dared to point a gun at him, he would die instantly.

He placed all the collected canned food in the room where he rested last night, almost completely filling the room.

Mike gave up on the idea of eating human flesh, but he also didn't want to starve to death. He picked up the pistol on the ground and aimed it at himself.

But he immediately lowered it. He wanted to see what return gift the young man who shared his hobby had left for him.

Li Su put the knife into his space, flew out the window, and headed straight for the City center, where there were many zombies.

With a wave of his hand, he conjured a boulder with a diameter of over six meters. The boulder immediately began to fall, and Li Su followed it, using Mind Power to accelerate its descent.

The boulder's descent speed far exceeded Li Su's, and the distance between them grew. The stone was about to rush out of the Perception Domain's edge.

If he were to retrieve the boulder at this moment, he would obtain a stone filled with powerful kinetic energy.

The boulder rapidly descended towards the zombie horde. Three seconds later, with a loud bang, a large section of zombies was cleared out.

After waiting a while, Li Su slowly landed above the large pit. Seeing the zombies surging around him, he took out three short knives and shot them out rapidly, the knives piercing forward for about ten meters.

Li Su then took out a long knife and spun it rapidly to kill the surrounding zombies, and also took out two short swords and shot them out to both sides.

Zombies that approached Li Su either had their heads pierced or were cut in half by the long knife. Protected by a Mind Power shield, he was not afraid of the splashing blood.

In less than ten minutes, the surroundings were like hell, with bodies scattered everywhere and black blood covering the ground.

Li Su floated in mid-air, casually pointing his finger. A tabletop-sized boulder appeared and blasted forward twenty meters, leaving shattered corpses everywhere it passed.

On a nearby building, two Lickers rapidly climbed towards Li Su. One leaped into the air, pouncing on Li Su.

Suddenly, a tabletop-sized boulder flashed in mid-air, smashing rapidly towards the Lickers, carrying both of them and the one behind them crashing into the building.

The two Lickers were hit by the boulder, and their bodies, along with the boulder, smashed through the building.

The sound of twisting metal rang out. Li Su glanced at the already broken long knife and the two short swords, which were now bent and deformed.

He casually took out two short axes, making them spin rapidly to kill the zombies, and also took out a long sword, shooting it forward.

Li Su sighed, saying that both cold weapons and firearms were consumables.

Li Su squeezed his hand towards his front-left, causing all zombies within a thirty-meter radius to converge towards the center, where they were compressed into a mass. The sound of breaking bones continuously rang out, and black blood spurted out from the pressure.

He couldn't crush them all at once; the intensity of his Mind Power was still not enough.

Li Su struck out with a horizontal palm towards dozens of zombies in his front-left, causing their bodies to deform and blast back several tens of meters.

He pressed his right hand downwards, causing the heads of a dozen zombies to explode, their bodies breaking and clinging to the ground like a pile of 爛泥.

Li Su continued to fight here, sometimes using Mind Power for direct attacks, sometimes sweeping with flying swords, constantly honing his combat abilities.

As evening approached, the surrounding zombies were essentially wiped out.

He glanced at the sky, which was already completely dark. Li Su checked himself and found no stains on his body.

He flew to a small building nearby, entered one of the rooms, blocked the doors and windows with stones, and silently thought, "Return."
