Chapter 9: Counting and receiving goods 2

Li Su strolled around, savoring the local famous scallion pancakes. When he found them delicious, he cleared out the stock, then found an empty alley and walked through it.

Afterward, he entered a small chicken soup shop, ordered a bowl of chicken soup, and slowly enjoyed it.

When Li Su had walked and eaten his way to the entrance of a middle school, the school happened to be letting out.

The already lively street instantly became a sea of people, and Li Su could only find a secluded corner to avoid the surging crowd.

In his secluded corner, Li Su closed his eyes and carefully observed every young girl within his Perception Domain.

Li Su was not a pervert; he was only doing this to find his younger sister.

He had previously uncovered two pieces of information: one was that his mother was in Shancheng, and the other was a photo of this half-sister.

From the age in the photo, it was clear she was not very old and was likely attending high school now.

To find her, he could only try his luck here.

After about twenty minutes, there was hardly anyone left at the entire school.

Just as Li Su was about to give up, two young girls walked out, chatting and laughing. Li Su recognized one of them as his target at first glance.

Both girls were estimated to be over 175 cm tall. One wore dark blue jeans, a white shirt, and had her hair in pigtails, exuding a youthful and vibrant aura.

Watching the two girls walk away, Li Su quietly followed, carefully observing and comparing them to the memories in his mind. Yes, it was indeed his younger sister.

He took out a wallet, put some money inside, then added an old photo of his parents, and dropped it at the girl's feet.

The girl with the ponytail stepped on the wallet, instinctively glanced down, and then picked it up.

The girl subconsciously opened the wallet and immediately saw a photo. The woman in the photo was very familiar to her; it was her mother when she was young.

A complex expression then flashed in her eyes. She knew she had an older brother, but she had never thought about trying to find him.

Li Su, having confirmed his target, quickly stepped forward and shouted loudly, "Two beauties, please wait a moment, that's my wallet."

The girl with the ponytail instinctively looked over. Her first feeling was that this was her older brother.

Li Su keenly noticed the change in the girl's eyes, knowing that she had also recognized him.

To fully commit to the act, he said, "That's my wallet, can you return it to me!"

The girl hesitated slightly and said, "What's your name? What proof do you have that the wallet is yours?"

Li Su casually took out a photo, handed it over, and said, "My name is Li Su."

The girl took the photo and said, "My name is Xiaoyu," then looked at the photo. The photo in her hand was identical to the one in the wallet.

Xiaoyu's mind was in turmoil, grappling with whether to acknowledge this relative in front of her. It was a question she had never considered.

Li Su spoke, "Would you like to sit in the nearby cafe? My treat."

The girl with pigtails scoffed, "With your cheap clothes, you think you can pick up our school beauty? Why don't you buy a mirror first and check your appearance before you talk."

Xiaoyu pulled her best friend beside her and said, "Okay, I'll lead the way."

Li Su stepped forward, patted the girl with pigtails on the shoulder, and said, "You're such a pretty girl, it's a shame you only grew a mouth."

After speaking, he walked forward, catching up with Xiaoyu.

The girl with pigtails was not angered; she merely smiled faintly and followed them.

The three entered a cafe, ordered three coffees, and sat facing each other.

The girl with pigtails said, "Little brother, what do you do? I saw you as soon as I left school. You weren't following us, were you?"

Li Su openly admitted, "Yes, I was following you. Xiaoyu, you're not mad at me, are you?"

Xiaoyu was choked by this. She had thought it was fate, but it turned out to be a deliberate setup.

The girl with pigtails immediately pulled Xiaoyu, stood up to leave, and said to Li Su, "You pervert, stay away from us, or I'll call the police and have you arrested."

Xiaoyu broke free from her best friend's hand and said, "Why don't you go first? I want to sit a little longer."

The girl with pigtails was angered by this remark and retorted loudly, "Aren't you afraid something might happen if you're with this guy who has ulterior motives?"

Li Su countered, "Is it possible that Xiaoyu is particularly willing to be with me?"

The girl with pigtails said, "You don't have something on Xiaoyu, do you? Are you blackmailing her, making her do things she doesn't want to do?"

In the girl's mind, over twenty thousand words of content immediately formed, and her expression grew increasingly displeased.

Li Su hadn't expected her best friend to be quite good. He didn't tease her any further but sincerely said, "I'll be leaving this country soon. I only came this time to say goodbye to Xiaoyu."

Xiaoyu's expression tightened, and she said, "Is there some difficulty? I still have some pocket money I can help you with."

The girl with pigtails quieted down, intently watching their expressions, and began to imagine things again in her mind.

Li Su solemnly said, "I'm just preparing to travel the world. I just came to see you before I leave."

He suddenly remembered that he should give a farewell gift at this time, but he had forgotten to prepare one.

He had stored a large amount of food, vegetables, fruits, and some daily necessities in his space, and he felt that none of them were suitable as a gift.

Suddenly, he saw the pile of gold and had an idea.

Li Su asked again, "By the way, what's your zodiac sign?"

Upon hearing this, the girl with pigtails immediately overturned her previous thoughts and started imagining things anew.

Xiaoyu was still immersed in her melancholic thoughts and subconsciously said, "I'm a dog."

Li Su searched around in his space and found a husky weighing about ten pounds.

He reached out, took Xiaoyu's backpack, put the husky inside, zipped it up, and said, "There's my gift for you inside. I should go now. Goodbye."

Li Su walked very slowly. He never heard the word 'older brother,' which was the result he hoped for, but why was there a faint sense of melancholy?
